It felt like we drove for hours, every time I think we're here, there's another set of trees on the road ahead.

"Ugh, does this man live in Alaska or something?" I asked, slowly losing my patience. I heard a low chuckle beside me and felt my heart jumping out of my chest.

No, absolutely not. I cannot be getting butterflies over a laugh, especially from someone who's rude and has no manners. Well, he has manners, just rude.

I could not be attracted to my boss. Not in the way that gave me butterflies and made me imagine dirty thoughts.

"I didn't think you were someone who loses their patience easily", Asher said, putting the windows down. I studied him for a bit. Asher was a very handsome man, he has dimples that are seen when he smiles, and he was also wearing glasses which makes him 10x hotter than he already is.

He had slightly curled hair, curly strands covering his forehead, tattoos around his arms, not the big, huge ones that covered his entire body, but small, medium ones that probably had a story behind them, and a mustache covering his pimples. His hands were on the wheel with some bracelets and a few rings.

Although I hate it, I imagined this man doing all sorts of inappropriate things to me, but before my thoughts got deeper, he cleared his throat, causing me to go back to reality.

I looked away quickly and stared out the window again. "I am a patient person", I said, my voice sounded a bit strained like I hadn't spoken for years or something. I grabbed my bag and got my water out and drank some, trying to calm myself down.

I hate car rides.

After a few hours, we finally made it to the house..well more like a castle. The place was huge as fuck, half of the world could live there. Asher drove the car to the gate entrance and put in the keycard and drove into the mansion's garage, he then parked his car and signed. He looked nervous.

"You all right?" I asked unbuckling my seatbelt. He nodded but I could tell something was wrong. He got out of the car and walked towards my side and opened the door for me. Of course, I got butterflies from that.

I thanked him and got out of the car.

"Richard Turner", Asher began to speak as we walked. He's around his 30's, and he was admitted to a prestigious university.

Many people say his parents paid his way in since his family is filthy rich, richer than me. However, Richard was naturally smart, and I proved that to the police. I looked up at Asher, taking notes in my head.

When he turned 28, it was his birthday and his mother and father hosted a party, anyone and everyone was invited, there was high security everywhere, it was a safe party, or so we thought.

When Richard was talking to me he told me that things were missing around the house, like someone wanted something but couldn't find it. A few days after the party, his mother was murdered. His father was away for the weekend and when he heard the news he flew back here quickly." He continued.
