Chapter six.

“ i would say it anyway" Ashley stated.
“ And you'll get the fuck out of my house " Iris said.
“Guys, calm down " Kayla said.
“ F*ck you " Ashley raised her middle finger and Iris slapped her and Ashley charged at her, the girls held them as they threw words at each other.
“ You're a bitch " Ashley shouted.
“ You aren't better" she retorted.
“ Hey" Irene shouted and they shut up.
“ Guys, where did all the foul words come from? " Camile asked.
“ Everyone knows how straightforward i am, unlike Ashley that keeps saying shit about me behind my back " Iris shouted. She didn't really expect Ashley to talk out loud. Ashley had always been a sidetalker, she was a big gossip and she had been trying to piss her off. She didn't even know what she ever did to Ashley but Ashley just suddenly went sour towards her.
“ Ashley, i think it's time to let everyone know the truth " Kayla said.
“ What truth?" she asked looking from Kayla to Ashley.
“ Yeah, what are you guys not telling us" the girls asked.
“ Well, i had always respected everyone here" Ashley said sitting down and everyone did too.
“ Go straight to the point" she reminded, she wasn't ready for any story.
“ Calm down" Bev said.
“ Iris had an affair with my husband " Ashley said and she stood up.
“what" she shouted. Everyone gasped. “ We cant hide the truth that most of us here, our husbands has had some history with Iris " Ashley said. Her head was spining, Ashley didn't lie about her having history with most of their husbands but having an affair that was awkward. She picked up the wine in front of her drowned it all.
“ So" she said, “ All the side talks, all the fights was all because you thought i was sleeping with your motherf*cking husband?" She asked. She and Mark had flirted with each other but she didn't really have anything more to do with him.
“ i wont have you saying shit about him? " Ashley said.
“ Ash, i expected something better. Like i stole your light, i pushed you to the back. I stole your shine but here you telling me that i slept with Mark?" She asked.
“ Isn't it obvious? " Ashley said.
“ I noticed how much Mark had been speaking more about you and i investigated and i saw that you guys had some interactions." Ashley said.
“ I cant believe my ears" she muttered. “guys are you hearing the shit, she's saying? " she, asked her friends,she turned back to face her friends “ of course, i had quite a lot of interaction with Mark. He wanted to suprise you and he came to me "
“ So why didn't you go to anyone else " Ashley asked.
“ Because, I'm the one selling dresses, Excuse me?. Mark came to me and asked that he was looking for a gift for you. I had asked him to get you jewelries. Of course, he had ‘ interactions' with Camile also. " she explained. “ But he knew you would find out if he went to Camile himself, so i helped him "
Ashley looked stunned, “ I-i_"
“ Of course, you spent months hating me for something i didn't do. I am f*cking disappointed in you. At least i get it but you never did trust Mark, did you? " she asked Ashley.

“ Guys, i have had enough for tonight. I have a hell of a day tomorrow. Good night " she said going to her room.

When she woke up, her house was empty. She brushed her teeth and showered. She also did her skin routine then wore her signature flower dress. She got into her car and drove to her shop.
“ Good morning, guys " she greeted her staffs.
“ Hey, Iris " Daisy said. “ you look like hell"
“ I know right? " she replied.
“ yeah, i prepared your schedule for you " Daisy said showing it to her.
“ it's filled " she commented.
“ yeah, hey Ron" Daisy blushed.
“ Daisy" he smiled at her and turned to Iris, “ I finished one of the Groom men's tux. You like to see it?" He said.
“ yeah, sure" she said following him to the room.
“ Wow, this is nice" she commented.
“ Thanks, i heard you say that this wedding was important i made sure to get everything to be good" Ron said.
“ Thanks, Ron" .
She went back to her office. After a stressful day of consultations and stuffs, she was about to end everything. “ You've got a visitor" Daisy said.
“ who is it?"  She asked.
“ Your friend Ashley " she didn't understand what Ashley wanted. And she wasn't going to listen to any insult from her.
“ send her in" she said.
“ Hey, Iris " Ashley said stepping in.
“ what the hell do you want?, or you've got some real evidence that i was shiting with your husband, huh?" She said.
“ Iris, I'm sorry. You were right about everything, i thought about it and i know that i fucked up " Ashley said.
“ mmmhmm" she gave her friend a cold shoulder.
“ i should have confronted you. I should have trusted Mark. I should have." Ashley said.
“ Okay " Iris said. Ashley walked around the table and held her hands, “ i should have trusted you " she said and Iris hugged her.
“ I'm so sorry for everything " Ashley apologised.
“ I forgive you " she said pulling away. Ashley got a phone call and left and she was alone again. “ Dont mean to disturb your meditation but someone's here to see you " Daisy said raising her eyebrows playfully.
“ Who?"
“ Nicholas " Daisy said and she smiled, “ Let him in"
“ Iris " he called when he entered. She stood up and hugged him. He planted a kiss on her lips.
“ Nick" she called.
“ So, i called to check in and i heard that you were busy and i know that you were going to be hungry so i ordered takeoutsand because i dont know how to cook" he said raising the bag up for her to see.
She moaned out of excitement, “ Thanks "
“ Sure. I didn't know you were a workaholic" he said.
“ I am. I need to pack up. My staffs need to go home " she said.
“ sure, let's go "he said holding her bag and the food.
“ Daisy, I'm leaving" she told Daisy.
“ Sure, good night " Daisy said.

When they got home, she removed her coat and jacket. She tied her hair up.
“ i will go get plates" she said.
“ okay " he said. They fixed up their dinner and sat down.
“ Hmm, i love this " she said.
“ okay " he said. They finished eating quietly then washed the dishes together.
“ So how was your sleep over" he asked and she rolled her eyes.
“ Keep rolling your eyes " she stared at him, “ what, it's sexy"
“ Jeez, Nick" she laughed. “ My sleepover was full of things " she said sitting beside him.
“ tell me everything "
“ We drank alot, danced and revealed some shitty secrets" she said drinking her wine.
“ i love secrets" he said raising his eyebrows.
“ It was one not anymore. It's about my friend that actually thought that i had an affair with her husband but we worked things out, so we are cool" she explained.
“ okay " he said. “ so how did you decide to open a bridal shop.?"
“ well, i love designing dresses and i loved watching Say Yes To The Dress, so it just kinda came to me to have my own bridal shop" she said. “ so how did you know about your skills for basketball " she asked him.
“ It just came. A lot of basketballer weren't playing the way i wanted and i was like, why dont i play like the way i want. I was playing in the local championship and i was chosen as one of the best players. That was where my career started from." He said.
“ Wow" she said nodding. “ i would have suggested watching a movie but no. I have something else in mind" .
“ Let's hear it " He said.
“ I was thinking about something " she said and he nodded.
“ okay "
“ let's play Tic Tac Toe" she said smiling. “ so i went to a party, a baby shower and we played Tic Tac Toe and the winner gets to dare the loser" she said.
“ i think i like the dare part" he said.
“ you should be worried because i am the best" she said.
“ ooh, I'm scared " he said in a feminine voice and she laughed.
“ You dont look scared" she said still laughing. “ Let's start"
“ Rules?" He asked and she shaked her head negatively. “ No rules" and he smirked.
She was playing as ‘ X' whily he played as ‘ O'. The first round there was no winner, second also, “ i told you that i was good" she bragged.
“ you haven't won yet, ma'am" he said. She mistakenly played at the wrong place and he got two ways. He grinned at her. “ I made a mistake " she said as he won.
