Chapter four.

Without waiting for me to let them in"
“ That's a great idea until you having a couch sex and your parents walks in" he said and she laughed.
“ Hahaha, i asked them to knock if i was home " she said. “ Come in"
She saw her sister Irene, her husband and their son. “ Hey" she greeted them hanging her coat and Nick's .
She saw Nick waving at them.
“ so guys this is Nick, and Nick this is Irene my sister, Ethan, her husband and this my little nephew, Carl" she said.
“ Hey, you must be Nick" Irene said stepping forward.
“ i know you from somewhere" Ethan said and Iris and Irene rolled their eyes.
“ Of course, we all do. He is a basketballer, he is always on TV" Irene said.
“Nicholas Delaney" Ethan said happily.“ Nice to meet you" he said.
Nick answered “ Thanks ". He really didn't expect to be in their family reunion but he couldn't take his eyes off Iris. She was a very beautiful woman, her sister Irene was also very beautiful but there was something about Iris that made her different from other women. Her aura was strong and different, most guys might see her as a challenged but he liked that about her. Most of the ladies he took out were always trying to please him by eating little, talking about basketball and gym but she never even mentioned watching basketball. But he knew that they wouldn't last long of course, he liked her and they could later on be friends like she and Adrien. He didn't like anything related to commitment, he had issues. After the incident with Clarissa he hadn't been in any serious relationship. He wasn't going to mention Clarissa to Iris because he knew women loved to pry into men business.
“ So, you going out with our Iris?" Ethan asked when the women stepped into the kitchen.
“ Huh... Yeah" he replied.
“ Well, she's good. She has got a fierce temper but a sweet heart, even sweeter than Irene's." Ethan said and he nodded. He didn't know what to say. He wasn't ready for any serious relationship and nothing anyone might say will convince him. His relationship with Iris was just like thinking about now and not the future. Hell, there was no future between them and he wasn't going to let anyone know.
“ Iris, you have to listen to me " he heard Irene shout. He stood up almost the same time with Ethan and walked to the kitchen where Irene was holding Carl and Iris sitting at the kitchen table.
“ Leave my house " she told her sister. She didn't want to be with anyone. The first time she saw a guy that she had quite a lot of attraction to, her sister keeps getting different vision about him. Her sister had asked to see in the kitchen only to find out her sister saw another vision about Nick and her. Her sister claimed to see her lying in the hospital pale and crying and someone mentioned Nicholas Delaney. It didn't mean anything, she told herself it didn't mean anything but within her she was scared. Scared that she would be Godmother to all her friends kids but she would never have hers. Scared that one day she would be lonely. Yes she knew how desparate she sounded but she was never the one to hide her feelings. She told her sister that she wouldn't refuse Nick, if he asked her to be his girlfriend and her sister got angry and started listing all the times when she was right about her visions. She asked her sister to leave that was when she shouted and the guys came into the kitchen. Then she told her sister quietly to leave her house. She watched Ethan whisper something to her sister then collected Carl and stepped out holding Irene's waist.
Nick walked to her after they left, “ Are you okay? " he asked.
“ Dont you have somewhere to be? " she asked and he looked stunned.
“ I'm sorry Nick, i am not in the best mood" she said walking to the door, “ Thanks for dropping me home " she said handing his coat over to him. She shut the door after him and slid to the floor. She would have cried but she couldn't cry. It was quite impossible for her to cry. Ever since that incident, she couldn't cry again.
She had quite a lot of things to do today, she asked Daisy to prepare a schedule for her. She didn't even bother to eat, she talked until her mouth hurted her. She kept giving out orders, she had to deliver a dress in three days and she hadn't even started making the dress. She went to the room where she sew all her dresses. She cut out the materials according to the measurements. She ordered takeouts to eat. She kept working on the dress. She designed a the dresses she sold but she wasn't always the one sewing it but the shop staffs were busy. Daisy was taking over her job with the help of Ron the other designer. She put them to work together because she knew that they had a thing for each other. Here she was playing matchmaker, she smiled at the thought. The door opened and Perry, her other worker stepped in. “ Iris, you've got someone waiting for you in your office "
“ why, i put Daisy and Ron in charge of any consultation today" she said and pierced her index finger with a needle.  “ Ouch" she said sucking It.
“ Well, it's personal. Can you get me an autograph. I would love to have one " Perry asked. Four people came to her mind, it was either her brother Tristin, or her other brother Troy, the actor or Adrien or Nick. Nick. Her brain screamed as she hurrued to fix herself. She asked Perry to let him in, she had wanted to call him but she was scared to.
“ Hey " she heard him say and she looked up
“ Nick, firstly i need to apologise for yesterday, it was...." She searched for the perfect word to use.
“ Nevermind, you were angry "
“ i shouldn't have turned my anger on you, it just that things were stressful at that time and_" he shut her up with his lips. She kissed him, their first real kiss. Her mind jumped from one place to another. Her heart beating fast, she prayed that he wouldn't hear it. His hands move down to her waist and she leaned on him. He pulled away, breathing rapidly, she guess she had the same effect on him the way he did on her.
“ i have a match tomorrow " he said. She looked at him without saying anything. “ i couldn't leave without seeing you or doing this. Bye" he said leaving her.
“ Nick" she called out when he was holding the door handle, she curled her lips and said “ Good luck". He smiled before leaving, she stood there still thinking when Perry walked in, “ Did you get it?"  She was confused, “ The autograph"
“ I'm so sorry,Perry i forgot. But i promise to ask next time " she said feeling really sorry.
“ Oh, Nevermind " he said turning to leave. She continued working until midnight.
“ I finally Locked up" Daisy said stepping into the room.
“ Thanks, i have to give you and the staffs a raise this month " she said.
“ Thanks " Daisy said.
“ So how was your date?" Daisy asked.
“ How did you know about it? " she asked.
“ Saw the reminder at your desk" Daisy explained.
“ It was great. But i ended up fighting with Irene" she sighed.
“ what happened? "
“......" She explained everything to Daisy and Daisy sympathized with her. Daisy understood why are boss was frustrated, she was going to be twenty seven and she didn't have a serious relationship with anyone. She was bound to be desparate. Her boss was a very beautiful woman but feisty and most men liked women who were like Irene, who would submit to them.
“ it's gonna be okay " Daisy advised.
“ Thanks, Daisy, it's late already. I would drop you home " she said packing up her things.
It's been three days since she saw Nick. She missed him but she buried her self in work and other stuffs. She talked to Irene and also apologised to Ethan for sending them out, she liked Ethan because he understood how she felt. She was home cooking a meal, she had accomplished most of her works so she decided to rest at home and put Daisy in charge. She couldn't sleep still, a lot of things occupied her mind. She heard someone knocking, she switched off the stove and removed her apron and went to the door, she was suprised to see Nick.
“ Nick, come in " she collected his coat.
