Chapter ten.

“ Deal" Irene said placing Archie back into the basket.
“ So how's little Iris? " she asked.
“ You mean little Irene? "
“ Oh, shut up. Everyone knows that she's going to be as fierce as her aunt"
“ Like Carl right? . I cant even kiss him without him shouting " she said.
“ I just pray my kids wont be like you.". If i eventually have one. She added silently.
“ They will be like me obviously " Irene said. She turned to where Archie was making little sounds, “ Baby, are you hungry " she asked.
“ what's that over there? " Irene pointed to the book inside Archie's basket.
“ Let me see" she said opening it, “ it's about Archie, he's just a month old" she said.
“ okay " Irene said.
“ we need to go for the meeting, i cant believe i spent hours talking to you. I feel so dumb " Irene said laughing.
“ i cant believe i spent time talking to you, i feel all soft and loving " she said mimicking her sister's cute voice.
“ Fuck you " her sister said.
“ Dont use the F word in front of my baby " she said gesturing to Archie.
“ Gosh, Iris. Do you know how crazy you are? " Irene said.
She packed up her bag, placed Archie's book in her bag. Then held him before leaving the room with her sister.
“ Come home for dinner tonight " Irene said.
“ i will come only if Ethan's cooking " she said. Her sister wasn't a terrible cook but her sister wasn't a really good cook also. But Ethan was a really good cook, he loved cooking also and she only eats dinner at their house when he was cooking.
“ you ought to be supportive" her sister said.
“ i cant " she said entering the elevator to the topmost floor where the meeting room was located.
“ Hey girls" she greeted.
“ Isn't it so suprising to see you come so early " Lauren said.
“ Who do we have here" Camile asked gesturing to Archie.
“ Guys this is Archie!! " she announced.
“ Given to her by her new fuckmate, Nick" Irene added.
“ Shut up, there are babies here" she gestured to her pregnant friends and they laughed well except Beverly.
“ You are sleeping with Nick, like the Nick we know " Beverly asked.
“ yeah. But before you say anything, I'm not falling deep for him " she said.
“ But... " Beverly said.
“ Girl, congratulations " Kayla said and she smiled.
“ Yeah we need to celebrate " Bethany said.
“ why" she asked.
“ Because the last time you slept with a guy. You were so close to getting married " Bethany said.
“ Guys, Nick is a cool guy just like Adrien " she said.
“ But.... " they all said.
“ I am not getting that friendship vibes from him. I'm talking about a relationship but he hasn't mentioned anything about it " she said patting Archie's head.
“ But you told him about Archie " Beverly said.
“ It happened in the moment " she replied. “ And we all know that every good thing happens during moments " she added.
“ Please!! " Irene said.
“ I'm just trying to say that i didn't tell him about Archie because he's important but because we were talking about animals " she said.
“ But you've talked about thousands of times with Adrien and i am sure you didn't mention it to him" Ashley said.
“ That's because there was no Archie's moments " she explained.
“ how long have you been sleeping with him" Lauren asked.
“ Yesterday was the first time " she said.
“ so you sleep with a guy and the next minute you tell him about a secret that isn't a secret " Beverly said.
“ Archie's not a secret. I just didn't like to mention him" she explained.
“ You loved him and it broke you when they took him away, but you wouldn't tell anyone" Camile said.
“ It didn't break me " she said.
“ It was the only time i ever saw you cry" Irene said.
“ me too " Kayla said.
“ Thinking about it now, guys you are actually right. " Lauren said.
“ Guys, i cried at all of your wedding " she lied.
“ You didn't." They said together.
“ i did, i just didn't do it for everyone to notice " she said.
“ Blah Blah, what 's the meeting about " Beverly said and she thanked her in her mind.
“ So, Irene and i talked about something " Lauren said.
“ wait" she told Lauren. “ Irene and Lauren came up with an idea and i wasn't really in support of it so i thought about mine. So i will let Lauren brief you guys on the offer while i go to the bathroom. " she said standing up and giving Archie to Ashley sitting beside her.
When she got back, she noticed that the girls were deep in a conversation.
“ So tell us what you think " Lauren said.
“ This offer is a very nice offer for me but it doesnt improve our business " she said. “ well it can, to me, Camile, Ashley and Irene but what about Beverly, Bethany, Kayla and Lauren " she asked and no one answered because they hadn't thought about it.
“ The offer was going to be of help to us but this is all about me. Of course, it's going to be all about me. No one is going to talk about the decoration or even the hair or even the jewelry, they would be thinking about only the dress" she said.
“ But it will be benefitting you " Lauren said, “ But not us" and she nodded.
“ So what are you saying " Irene asked.
“ what if we made our own video, but it wouldn't be just about the dress but about Buttercup events in total." She said.
“ i dont understand " Lauren said.
“ i mean, we should make our own video. It shouldn't just be about decorations but everything that comes with Buttercup events " she said, “ We wont have a deadline. We could make a short film, Kayla can be the videographer. I could ask Daisy and Ron to play the couples getting married, they would be happy to do it. " she said.
“ that's a pleasant idea but how are we going to post the video" Lauren asked.
“ That isn't hard, i could get My brothers to repost it and also Nick and Adrien " she said.
“ And we can also ask our previous clients to repost. And Irene, you can talk to your new friend about it also and ask of she might be interested " she said.
“ Iris, this is a pleasant idea " Beth said.
“ Thanks " she replied.
“ And you know what's even better " Ashley asked and everyone shaked their head negatively, “ she could have just gotten the contract and her clothing line would become popular but she didn't because she knew it wouldn't benefit us. That's really nice " Ashley said.
“ Yeah, Ashley, you are right " Camile said.
“ Thanks guys but Buttercup events is ours" she said.
“ yes" they said.
“ so what do you guys say about it " she asked and they all said together.
“ WE ARE IN!!!!"
“ so about Liv's baby shower " Lauren said.
“ Guys, i gotta go now " she said standing up before anyone realise that she didn't like Olivia.
“ Sit right there " Irene said. “ Guys, she doesnt wanna tell you guys that she wasn't invited "
“ Bitch" she cursed her sister under her breath.
“ Oh, then we wouldn't take it" Lauren said and the girls said yes.
“ Guys please this is between me and Olivia. And we have to be professionals, we aren't six anymore that we hate on the same person, guys" she said.
“ yeah, fine but i might get her baby shower to work but doesnt stop me from hating her" Ashley said.
“ Thanks Ashley for your support " she said.
Soon their meeting was over, she rushed to her office after sending Perry to get her cat food for Archie.
“ Hey" Daisy said walking in.
“ Daisy, do you need anything " she asked.
“ Not really" Daisy replied sitting down. “ Awwn, such a cute cat" she said patting his head.
” Thanks " she replied.
“ Yours?" Daisy asked and she nodded, “ Oh my God. Seriously? "
“ Yup, do you wanna go shopping with me for my cat tomorrow? " she asked.
“ Yeah, i will love to. I want to leave early today, i have a date today with Ron" Daisy said.
“ That's nice. Speaking of Ron, I need to tell you something important " she said.
“ Okay "
“ So i and the girls were discussing and we came up with an idea of video about Buttercup events and we decided to make you act in the video. You and also Ron, could act in it " she said.
“ That's a nice idea,  i am in" she said.
“ Great, i just need to tell Ron about it " she said.
