Chapter 8 (Dance With Death)

"Which one are you talking about, the orange haired one or the black haired one? There are so many I'm starting to forget at this point! I still killed them all anyway!"

The disgusting creature cackled while speaking. "Yeah the orange haired boy, the one you brutally murdered!" Sumiko yelled out to the demon who hadn't stopped laughing. "Your one sick demon, you know that?" Sumiko said with a tone that made the demon stop laughing.

"Well duh what are you an idiot of course I am I kill people and eat them for fun."

"This conversation is pointless, let's get to the fighting."

Now Back To Your Scheduled Content

In a second 6 arms rush toward Sumiko who has gotten into a fighting stance. "6 arms in total if I use flowing dance I can take down 4 at most. After that I'll jump onto one of the last 2 and rush up from there and take his head!" Sumiko had already devised a plan while they were talking but the green demon saw through her plan and already had a counter.

Water Breathing 3rd Form, Flowing Dance!

Sumiko released the breathing form at maximum speed but the green demon had retracted the arms and had 2 of his arms coming from below. "Shit! I miscalculated, "Think Sumiko, think and breathe, change forms!" Sumiko thought to herself while using the momentum from the 2nd swing of Flowing Dance.

Water Breathing 2nd Form, Water Wheel!

Sumiko performed a large spin which sliced through the demon's 2 arms which had almost grabbed her legs. "Alright you have this under control all you need to do is just get up and close to his head. It seems he's predicting my movements so I'll have to improvise on the spot, No planning just doing!" Sumiko thought as she continued running towards the demon which had shot out 4 arms which came from separate directions. Sumiko had rushed up and leaped towards the demon's arm which she ran up and attempted to slash towards its neck.

"She's quick but not as quick as the other girl with the blue mask. I can find out a way to beat her. I just need to catch her off guard for a second and my fist will go straight into her side."

The green demon thought to himself as he pumped more blood into the arms around his neck to protect it from the blade coming towards his neck. "Alright I can cut through! Cut, Cut, Cut! CUT THROUGH!" Sumiko yelled to herself in her mind as she used another form of water breathing.

Water Breathing 1st Form, Water Surface Slah!

Sumiko yelled out the form name which alearted the demon to the incoming slash. In the process of Sumiko only thinking about her sole objective, which was taking down the demon, she didn't take the time to notice the 2 arms coming from below and one from the side.

*BAM*

With an intense thud Sumiko went flying due to the demon pulling her into his fist which slammed against the upper part of her ribcage. Sumiko went flying into a tree and was knocked out with her mask being broken upon the impact of slamming into the tree at such high speeds.

"Phew if she had dodged that hit I would have been done for! Since she's knocked out I should repay a few of the demons whose kills I stole. This girl should be enough compensation, especially with a body such as hers."

The green making its way to an unconscious Sumiko. the demon cackled while looking at her body pervertedly.

"HOLD IT RIGHT THERE YOU FILTHY DEMON, MY NAME IS YOAKE HOSHI AND I WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO LAY ANOTHER HAND ON THAT GIRL"

A boy called out to the demon who had turned his attention to the purple haired boy.

"Alright, think Yoake this situation doesn't look good for anybody. I could take him down quickly with my breathing form but it will risk me running out of oxygen. I've already used quite a few so far. I'm already running out of breath. Shit, Shit, Shit! THINK GOD DAMN YOU! alright I've got it I'll just take him down in 1 fell swoop!"

Breath Of The Stars 1st Form, Dawn Waltz!

In a second Yoake moved at light speed to instantly decapitate the demon with a dance that looked like a wishing star falling from the heavens. *Cough* *Cough* *Cough* "Fuck. I'm running out of oxygen and I can barely breathe. I just wish that whenever I used my breathing forms the god of stars didn't use the oxygen in my lungs to give me strength." Yoake said to himself while panting and taking deep, heavy breaths.

"Hey miss? are you ok, are you even alive?" Yoake said to the unconscious girl who had a bleeding head wound. "Oh shit she's bleeding I should bandage this up quickly and make sure she doesn't get devoured by some random demon." Yoake said to himself as he reached inside his backpack and grabbed some bangadges.

A Few Hours Later

"Ugh, where am I? SHIT I was in a fight!" Sumiko said to herself as she reached to her side and readied her katana.

"Hey lady calm down, I saved you from the huge monster. Well I've gotta go and save the other people in the forest. In that pouch beside you are some painkillers and more bandages if you need to, Sayonara!" Yoake said to Sumiko who had absolutely no clue what was going on.

"Oh uh yeah, Thanks!" Sumiko said with a smile that illuminated the sky. With that the boy had rushed off to the next screaming voice. "That guy was nice. I didn't ask him his name though" Sumiko said while frowning, reaching for the pain killers.

For The Rest Of Final Selection Nothing Too Interesting Happened Besides For Sumiko Killing A Few More Demons.

"CAW CAW, FINAL SELECTION HAS NOW ENDED PLEASE RETURN TO THE ENTRANCE TO CLAIM YOUR REWARDS CAW CAW!" A crow called out to everybody inside the forest.

"Why is there a talking crow and second I DID IT, I DID IT UROKODAKI SENSEI I COMPLETED FINAL SELECTION!" Sumiko yelled out while crying into her broken mask.

"Thank you for partaking in Final Selection, Please choose the ore for your Nichirin Blade."

The two children said to the remaining 30-ish people who passed Final Selection. Most of the people would've died if it wasn't for Yoake most, if not all of the people in Final Selection would've died.

"For you, participant Yoake. We will forge your sword with 2 different ores due to the fact of you single handedly taking down over 75% of the demons inside this forest."

The two children said while looking towards the boy who was on the verge of passing out due to low oxygen.

"Oh, *HUFF* thanks *HUFF*" Yoake said while coughing and trying to catch his breath. "Hey thanks for the assist back there i'm going to guess your name is Yoake?" Sumiko said to the boy who had managed to regain his breath and was walking up to the table to choose his two ores.

"Yeah my name is Yoake Hoshi! I hope we can meet again Sumiko!" Yoake said to Sumiko as he pointed to both ores he wanted to forge his with. "Hmm this ore smells different from the others." Sumiko pointed towards the ore she wanted her sword to be forged from and made her way back to Urokodaki's house.

Anyway i'm done fanboying over demon slayer 3rd season and yeah oc insert this chapter his will tag along for the journey and no he will not be in love with Sumiko so don't even ask. Honestly i'm feeling like shipping her with either Zenitsu, Giyuu, Kanao or perhaps Inosuke if im feeling crazy. But please do give me suggestion on who you would like to see her shipped with!
