"Easy with the copper town hind" Rhonda told Charley.

The group minus Maddie we're relaxing by and in the pool as they watched the swim teams practice.

Laura was treading water while Wally was laying next to her in his pool floaty drinking soda.

Wally joined the conversation, "Yeah, that bottle's gotta last her another sixty years."

"Don't be a cube." Rhonda said while kicking her foot up to splash Wally.

Charley smelled his wrist while letting out a sigh, "I love this smell." He sniffed the bottle before continuing, "Coconut, Rubena? I mean, when you close your eyes, you could be anywhere. Miami, Aruba-"

Rhonda cut him off, "Yep. And then you open them and there's a bandaid floating into the surf."

Laura muttered to herself  a quick,"Ew."

"I miss a good sunburn." Charley continued ignoring Rhonda's rude but true comment.

"I miss tanning." Laura admitted. She missed feeling the sun beat down on you for hours but getting the sun kissed glow afterwards.

Charley spotted Maddie walking towards the group, "Hey, you. Where you been?.

Maddie's focus wasn't on Charley though, instead it was on the girl with the timer talking to the coach.

"Maddie?" Charley questioned while following where her eyes were looking towards.

Charley shifted, "Friend of yours?"

Maddie only scoffed, "Hardly."

"Ah, yes, thats the side piece, huh? Almost didn't recognize her without her pom poms." Charley tried to play it off as he didn't like the girl but really they all knew he was uncomfortable talking badly about people he just thought it would cheer Maddie up.

Wally butted in, "Okay, so you think she helped your ex take you out?"

Rhonda butted in as well, "I'm guessing she came up with the whole plan herself. Lady Macbeth used your plus one as a tool."

One of the male teachers was walking by the group as Charley straightened his posture. Looking sad as if he didn't know the teacher couldn't see him.

Rhonda laughed, "Dial it down. Just cause you smell like an Almond Joy doesn't mean he knows your here."

Charley only rolled his eyes.

"That's Mr. Figueroa. Emilio. He was Charley's crush, when they were still students here. He sponsors the LG - T - BTQ club, and Charley never misses a meeting." Wally giggled even though he couldn't imagine how it would feel seeing the person you love everyday while they don't know you're there.

Laura rubbed Wally's arm in support as he tried his best spelling LGBTQ.

"I only go for the refreshments, And you know what? You're one to talk I mean you hit the gym, what, three times a day to impress some boneheads who only know you as a name on the scoreboard." Charley went off at Wally
