Y/N POV
For the first time , me and sunoo walked into the courtyard of the school hand in hand , smiling to each other .
The second we walked in we gained stares and of course , the gossip started .
It made me uncomfortable because I wasn't used to everyone's eyes being on me .
"are you ok y/n?" Sunoo asked me , realizing that I wasn't smiling like I was a second ago .
"yeah , I'm just ... not used to the attention, I guess" I honestly said . I felt him slightly squeeze my hand as we kept walking .
"don't worry , as long as they don't say anything they'll regret , I don't care . But if something bothers you , tell me , ok?" He asked .
I grinned , nodding my head .
"omo , isn't that sunoo's hoodie?"
"yah , when did they get so close .. are they perhaps dating ?"
"look they're holding hands!"
"out of all people why her , like she's any better than me"
that last comment made me unintentionally stop , as I put my head down to look down at the ground .
things like that always made me insecure about myself , even though it shouldn't , I couldn't help but feel a sting in my heart every time someone judged me .
"I'd choose her over you any day ." Sunoo spoke up .
She scoffed . "what did you just say to me? her over me? please." She chuckled , scanning me up and down .
"your personality and attitude is about as good a roaches , but I guess that's what you are so I mean ... it makes sense ." A voice called from down the hall .
I didn't realize it but a crowd had accumulated as they were arguing .
Everyone started making way for someone , or a group of people actually .
"so I suggest you refrain from saying things like that about my noona from now on , got it?" Niki said , making an entrance through the crowd with all of his friends behind him .
"ok first of all , I'm not afraid of you kid. And second of all , you're just lucky you have a pretty face or else I would slapped the mess out of-" she snapped back , but was cut off .
"yah! enough.. don't ever talk to Niki , or y/n , or anyone of us like that again or else." Heeseung , the oldest out of all of us said , stepping up to tower over her 4'11 body .
She immediately looked down to the floor , showing respect to her elder , not saying anything more .
"that's what I thought ." heeseung said , walking out of the crowd , making the rest of us follow him .
we walked to the library where , luckily , no one was since most of everyone was out in the hallways discussing the argument or me and sunoo.
"aish , it's 9 in the morning why are they so chatty?!" I angrily rambled .
Sunoo chuckled , pulling me to his side , while wrapping his arm around my shoulder .
"is my baby frustrated?? I'm sorry , I bet a kiss will make it better" he whispered the last part into my ear .
My face turned bright red , making me shift my gaze away from him . The boys were walking away to a table , too preoccupied to notice us .
I speed walked to catch up with them , before sitting at a big table they chose .
"so , y/n , Sunoo , is there anything you guys would like to tell us ?" Jungwon asked , not knowing that me and sunoo were already holding hands underneath the table .
Sunoo squeezed my hand , making me look at him to catch a secret wink .
"uhm , no?? What are you talking about?" He acted , making me realize what he was doing .
"a-ah yeah , what are you talking about??" I played along .
"are you guys serious?!" Jay asked , fed up with us at this point .
"last night...?" Jungwon started to hint.
"ahh that ... we'll you see , he didn't believe me so, so we decided it's be best to just stay as friends..." I explained , trying to look upset by looking down to me and sunoo's intertwined hands .
it took all of me to not bust out laughing .
"yah! What is wrong with you both?!" Jake exclaimed in English .
They all went silent , making me look up . They all were immersed in thoughts , so I took that opportunity to finally give them what they want .
I squeezed sunoo's hand to give him a hint to tell the truth , and he nodded his head .
"so love , where do you want to have our date after school??" Sunoo asked , out loud for all of them to hear .
Their heads all shot in our direction , looking down at our entwined hands that we're now visible and on the table .
"is that what I think it is?!" Niki yelled , cashing the librarian to scold him for yelling .
"we're official!" Me and Sunoo said in unison .
"finally!" They all said , almost as if they'd been waiting for this day to come .
We all laughed and continued with random conversations , while they all kept teasing me and sunoo through our convos , but we didn't mind .
And that's how being roommates with the schools heartthrob ended being the person I'd want to spend the rest of my life with .
