It begins.

Caedyn's POV:

I slammed the alarm clock on my phone. Why did I get up so early...? Oh yeah, to meet him..Makoi. I slid out of bed with the robe barely even on my body.

I walked into the kitchen and took out a bowl with milk and cereal. I could barely even finish my cereal because Makoi was all I could think about..ugh enough about him. Just get ready.

Nobodies POV:

Caedyn undid his robe and put on his usual gear, his Kensa sweater with a pair of skater shorts and his arctic duck boots. He grabbed his keys and was out the door. He was practically sliding the rail of the staircase down to the bottom. He swung open the door only to find..

"CAEDYN!!!" Akira screamed right in his face,

Oh cod are you serious. Caedyn thought.

"Hey Akira..." Caedyn said slightly annoyed, the bright colors from her clothes and tentacles were blinding him.

"We're going to do a private battle! I already planned everything out! Let's do Mahi-mahi resort, 'kay?" She said excited

"Sorry i'm sort of in the middle of doing something today, maybe next week?" He replied "hopefully never.." he mumbled under his breath.

"Hm what was that last part? I couldn't quite hear it." Akira asked

"It was nothing." He said

"Okie dokie then! Next week it is!!" She giggled and left Caedyn alone.

He could tell she was slightly annoyed but it didn't bother him. Caedyn walked over to the lobby, but before he could open the door he felt a tap on his shoulder.

Caedyn's POV:

"Akira I said next week.." He groaned annoyed again

"Oh i'm sorry you must've mistaken me for someone else." The other voice said

I turned around to see a taller octoling peering down at me, I was intimidated but didn't show it. I walked back a little to see who it was. It was him, Makoi.

"Hey...you're starboy or Caedyn right?" He questioned, taking off his aviators. "Sweet we finally get to meet, I'm Gotcha or Mako-"

"Yeah! Makoi I know who you are! You're the E-liter that took my spot as #1 sniper!" I said with a cocky tone, showing that I wasn't happy with what he did.

"No hard feelings about it, right? I mean it would be kind of embarrassing if you were annoyed." He said sarcastically. I think he knew damn well I was annoyed.

He reached out for a handshake, his hands were slightly larger than mine. Our hands clasped but I was squeezing his hand so hard a vein could practically pop.

"Hey! Since i've never got to see your skill how about I do a direct challenge for #1 sniper!" I said cracking a smile for him.

"Sounds good to me!" He said squeezing my hand harder. It was starting to hurt a lot.

I loosened my grip implying that we should stop and he caught on quickly letting go. We walked inside the lobby area and walked over to the locker rooms to pick up our weapons. I looked over to see what his locker looked like. It was neat and organized but still had some class to it, it fit his vibe. I turned around grabbing my ink pack and charger when it felt someone was looking at me, like sharp daggers stabbing my back. I turned around quickly to see who it was but nobody was looking at me. I felt it was Makoi though.

Was he looking at me or my locker? I thought.

That's such a dumb question..

I could feel my face turn a little hot.

Ugh this is so embarrassing.

We grabbed everything and went to sign our names up for a 1 on 1 spot battle.

"Hey starboy! Looks like someone caught you up quickly with the news huh!" The worker gave me a wink.

"I wish nobody did." I groaned as I gave a sharp look at the worker.

"I heard Gotcha is really good, he might be so good you might not be able to beat him! Ha!" The worker joked

I have a quick glance at Makoi who was staring down at me with a grin on his face.

"I might just be your match, ha." He said

"I doubt it, there's no way someone is at the level im at." I said as I prepared my headgear to expand my peripheral vision.

"We'll just have to see then." He chuckled

"Ladies first" He cooed in a cocky tone

I rolled my hand into a fist. I wanted to punch him so bad but I didn't want to seem like I was jealous of this situation, so I boarded the shuttle with him following after me.

*Tschhhhhh* (shuttle door closing)

Next stop, Brinewater Springs!

I looked at Makoi and he looked back at me.

"I will get my spot back no matter what." I growled

"Oooh, so confident."

Was he mocking me? Whatever.

*Tschhhhhhh* (shuttle doors open)

Me and Makoi walked off the shuttle and squid jumped into our starting positions.
