part time

Still Caedyn's POV:

I woke up feeling groggy, staring up at my ceiling not wanting to move.

Get up.

Come one get up.

I slowly moved my body out of the bed and made my way into the bathroom. Turning on the bath with nice hot water and mixing in soap as well to make it a bubble bath. It felt really early, I checked my phone real quick

5:27, ugh. I hopped into the bath and soaked in it trying to let go of all the stress I had yesterday. Just as I was starting to get comfortable I heard a knock on my door.

"I'm a minute!" I scrambled out of the bathtub and almost slipped and fell and quickly threw on my robe, tying it sloppily. I unlocked the door and was met with Makoi standing in my door way.

He clearly noticed I was drenched and had bubbles on some parts of my face.

He snorted a little and wiped some bubbles of my face.

"Did I catch you at a bad time? I'll come back later." He said

"No, wait, come in. I'll be ready in a minute."

I opened the door for him and he walked in, he sat on my couch.

"Feel free to watch some tv while you wait."

I walked over to my drawer and grabbed some clothes and walked back into the bathroom and continued my shower.

I walked out my shower still a little steamy with a pair of some comfy clothes on.

I sat next to Makoi,

"So what did you want to talk about."

"Yesterday..I just want to-"

"I'm so sorry, you shouldn't have seen me like that. It was very unprofessional for me." I said while looking away embarrassed.

"No listen, I want to help you. I'll train you, after all I'm up for the challenge of you trying to take your spot back." He put his hand on my shoulder.

I looked back up at him,

hold back the tears, hold back the tears.

"Also I wanted to apologize too, for making you seem you had to prove yourself to me and turning so cocky all of a sudden." He said with a soothing tone in his voice.

He patted my shoulder and stood up, and he walked out my apartment shutting the door behind him. I melted into my couch before i heard a crumple.

"Hm?" I sat up and felt a paper on my back.

"Whenever you're ready to train. Here's my number xxx-xxx-xxxx. ;)"

My face turned slightly hot, did he not know how this sounded? Or? Ugh.

I let out a slight chuckle, and got up from the couch to grab my phone by my bedside.

I entered his contact in my phone.

"Mmm..." I layed back on the couch and looked back at my phone staring at his contact. I stared at the time, 6:34.

I layed on my back and fell asleep quickly.

————Time Skip——-

I shot up from the couch and scrambled to my phone to check the time, 12:03!?

I ran to my drawer and got dressed in my usual gear.

*growl growl growl* there was a sharp pain in my stomach, I walked over to my kitchen and looked for something to eat. There was really nothing there.

Whatever..i'll get something at a cafe or something.

*ding*

I sit down in a booth in the corner as the waiter brings a menu.

"Thanks." I take the menu looking down at my phone scrolling through inkstagram.

"Wow..didn't even say hi to me".

I look up to be met with a familiar face,

"Makoi? What are you doing here ?"

"Haha, I work here as part time..and because my mom owns this café so i'm sort of helping her out and earning some cash."

"So what brings you here Caedyn?"

"Im grabbing a bite to eat," I said "and asking you to train me"

"Ah okay, you know you have my number right? But anyways let me finish my shift first..i'll be done in about 15-20 minutes 'kay?"

I gave Makoi my order and waited patiently for it, while I was waiting I saw the huge dessert rack of cakes, crepes, cookies, anything you can imagine. I got up and ordered at least 5 macaroons, 1 cake, and 1 cookie. By the time Makoi came out with my real order i was snacking on the sweets.

"Guess you like sweets huh?" He chuckled while handing me my latte and sandwhich "now I know what I can get you for valentine's day~" he joked patting me on the head

I blushed slightly at that comment. Makoi doesn't seem like a bad octoling.

He slide into the booth across from me and started recommending some good training spots for us. I think Makoi could see myself eyeing the crepe cake.

Makoi got up.

"I'll be right back."

5 minutes later he came back with a mango crepe cake with whipped cream.

"It's on the house." Makoi smiled

In the blink of an eye I swallowed up the whole cake. I think I looked like a jellyfish because of how full my cheeks were.

*Click*

I looked up to see Makoi staring at his phone giggling, I didn't mind it. Soon after Makoi's shift ended, we grabbed our gear and went for one on one training.
