Narrator: It's the day before Mog's birthday, and her two best friends decide to make it their mission to plan the most wunderful, fantastic...err.... most amazing 17th birthday of the year. The only problem is, well, it's the day before her birthday...and they are sorta running out of time... and they definitely have no idea whatto do. So they turn to the only source they can trust:
[queue highly dramatic music]
Narrator : The Internet!
[Cadence and Hawthorne are sitting on Hawthorne's bed, scrolling on Cadence's laptop]
Cadence: This looks like a good one: "28 17th Birthday Ideas: Make your Child's 17thBirthday a Blast"
Hawthorne: But Mog's not our child?
Cd: Well... it's close enough, we're running out of time, Hawthorne. We just need to pickan idea.
Hw: Would I be the mum or the dad?
Cd: What!!!??
Hw: I feel like I would be the mum, y'know, cause I think I look really great in a pink stripyapron. Sorta like the one my mum wears–
Cd: Hawthorne ican'tforthelifeofmeremberyourmiddlename Swift, CON-CERN-TRATE!!!!

1. Go Golfing
Cd: Nope definitely not! Do they think we're 80?
Hw: C'mon it'll be fun
Cd: No...You are going to try and convince me to do all of these, aren't you?
Hw: Yup
Cd: "Huff"
2. Have Fun at an Amusement Park
Cd: Do we even have one of those?
Hw: Oh Yes! There is the one the wundersmith built–
Cd: You mean the one that only allows children from the area?
Hw: Uhhhh....
Cd: Next !
3. Go Camping
Hw: YESSSS!!!
Cd: NOOOO!!!
Hw: Why not??? Camping sounds like a great idea!
Cd: Hawthorne, there are like 1000 monsters out there that could kill us, not including thecampfire ...
Hw: What's wrong with fire? I love fire, it's so cute and fluffy and bright, with the potentialto destroy everything in it's path...
Cd: My point.
Hw: But–
Cd: No!
4. Have a Sleepover party at a Hotel
Hw: Yeah, Nah, that's not going to work
Cd: Yeah definitely not, moving on...
5. A pool party
Cd: This sounds like fun !
Hw: No, I don't think this is a good idea.
Cd: Why not??? Pool parties are great. You can swim, eat ice cream andwatermelon....play pool volleyball. Marco polo.
Hw: Mog doesn't like swimming.
Cd: What do you mean??!!!! She totally likes swimming, she had a great time at the beachlast holidays.
Hw: I...um. I meant it's the wrong season for swimming.
Cd: It's Spring.
Hw: ....
Cd: ....
Cd: Is there something you want to tell me?
Hw: Ummm... well
Cd: Surely you're not afraid of the water????!!!! You can swim can't you????
Hw: Of course I can swim!!!! Don't be ridiculous! It's just... the robot octopus.
Cd: What robot octopus?
Hw: You know the sucky thingy which makes ticking noises in the water while you swimand no matter what you do it always comes closer and closer, ready to suck you upthe tube. And then you scream, but no one can hear you because you're under water.And then you die, but they can't find your body because...
Cd: Ok, ok! I get it.I can't believe you are afraid of those things.
[trying to hold back laughter]
Hw: Shut up.
6. Pretty in Pink Party
Hw: [reading off of the website] "Host an all-pink birthday party to bring in your 17th full of pinkdecorations, pink colored foods, and pink attire. Don't hesitate on hiring someone togive manicures and pedicures, along with playing a few games with your friends to keepeveryone entertained." That sounds like a nice girly thing to do. Morrigan is a girl. Girlslike that sort of stuff.
Cd: [with raised eyebrow] Really?
Hw: What?Cd: Morrigan in pink?
Hw: Good point.
[They hear footsteps and the door opens]
Mg: Hi guys, what are you doing?
[Hawthore lies sprawled on top of the laptop with his body covering the various notepads andmost of the evidence that they were planning a birthday party]
Cd & Hw [at the same time]: Building Lego !School project!
Mg: Uhhh... ok... sure. Anyways I know it's pretty late, but I was (I mean Frank is) going tohold a Murder Mystery party for my birthday tomorrow. I wanted to see if you wanted tocome.
Cd: Yes that sounds great, I'm free to come!
Hw: Same, me too!
Cd: ....
Hw: ...
Mg: Right... well I'll see you then!
[Mog leaves awkwardly]
Cd: You didn't ask if she was already planning something??????!!!!
Hw: I thought you did that already!!!!!!!
Cd: ARGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
