Six months before the Epilogue.
The typical day inside the Sully residence was very chaotic.
If Tawn woke up in a quiet and calm house, she would probably have a headache from overthinking it.
Today, for example.
Tawn was in her late stage of pregnancy. Her stomach was noticeably bigger than the average Na'vi, her hips widened to accommodate the baby's birth, and her freckles were glowing more than before.
Despite her glowing and irresistible beauty, she felt so uncomfortable and bloated every day ever since the bump showed up. Don't get her wrong, she loved her baby, but she wasn't a fan of the long pregnancy.
The first thing she sensed with her eyes close was how quiet her pod was. Usually she was woken up by her rowdy kids. When she said rowdy, she meant Lo'ak, Spider, Kiri and Tuk. Neteyam was her little angel. Bless him for having a kind and strong heart.
As much as Tawn didn't want to admit it, it was very obvious that she favoured her oldest son secretly.
Tawn opened her eyes slowly, carefully adjusting to the morning rays that seeped into her home. She let her eyes focus on the woven ceiling for a few minutes, gathering her soul back after a restless night of sleeping.
She let out a loud yawn, alerting whoever was in the house with her that she was awake. Usually, after she made any kind of noise, her mate would help her sit up and greet her with his morning kisses, but she frowned when it was clear no one was in the pod with her.
Tawn, being mindful of her child, sat up, shaking her head to rid of the sleepiness from her mind.
She looked around the empty marui, her mind reeling on where the hell her family went to. She couldn't even hear anything outside her home.
Tawn sighed, looking down at her belly and stroking it, "good morning, my little boy," she greeted, "I guess it's just you and me today," she sighed, getting up on her two feet slowly. She needed to take everything slow and steady as not to hurt herself or the baby.
Tawn stretched her hands and her spine, decompressing them after a very good night's sleep before walking to prepare herself a little breakfast.
She grabbed a knife, a cutting board and a sweet and juicy yovo fruit for herself. She placed it on a flat surface before she cut the fruit into four pieces. She grabbed the leftover skin of the fruit and dumped it down into the ocean for the fish or ilus to feed on.
She grabbed the plate of the fruit and brought it outside.
After three years of living with the Sullys, she wasn't used to being alone anymore. There would always be one of them besides Tawn every day and every night. She would never find herself alone.
Sometimes she thought it would be nice just to be alone, but now she realised how their presences were everything to her.
Tawn sat down on the edge of the pathway, her feet dangling above the water, and she placed the plate beside her. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, taking in the air and the warmth of the sun.
She leaned back and took a slice of fruit into her mouth.
She let the sweet flavour explode in her mouth, humming in delight at the exceptional taste of the exotic fruit.
The faint sound of the village activity accompanied the sound of the waves crashing against the mangrove roots.
Tawn lips were suddenly set to a frown when she felt a painful sting on her lower abdomen. She winced slightly, hunching over to lessen the pain.
