Chap 03.

Third P.O.V

Landon sits down and Emery ignored everyone as Alaric and Hope. "so what are you?" Emery heard and turned. "i'm going to go." Hope said awkwardly. Emery laughs a little. "i'm sorry, i didn't mean to be rude." he said tensed as Emery rolls her eyes. "look we need to figure out how Rafael triggered his curse." Landon looked at Emery shocked, her behavior shocked him. she shrugs. "so the question is." Alaric paused. "who did he kill." Emery said making everyone look at her.

"Emery." Josie huffed out making her shrug. "we all know he had to kill some to activate it. accident or not." her tone hard and honest.

"what? Landon says. "Look Landon. This is a good school for him. Emery and I have been going here since we were seven." Emery zoned the others out as she looked out the field to the kids playing around. "His girlfriend Cassie." that made Emery turn. "the accident in the rain." she said making everyone look at her. "yeah, the roads got slick and he lost control of the wheel." Hope and Alaric look in pity as Emery just had a blank face. "Alaric." she said and he looked at her recognizing that tone. Alaric hearing her tone presses a button. "send him in." he said and just then MG walks in. "Landon meet my protege Milton." Alaric said making Emery laugh and MG groan. "come one Dr Saltzman." Alaric laughs. "right take it from someone named Alaric. MG here is a vampire." he said making Landon look at the three.

"for a school you keep your secret pretty tight." he said. "that's because we don't intend for you to remember it." Alaric said. MG walks over to Landon and lays a hand on his shoulder. "you won't remember anything, you watched Rafael go off to a new school and you went home." he said tone soft yet stern. Landon scoffed and pushes his hand off. "are you four insane. how can i forget any of this." he shrieks out. Emery and Hope look at him then to MG. "MG did you do it wrong?" Hope freaked out. "of course not. it's the easiest trick in the book." both Emery and MG say. "this is not good." Alaric said tone panicked. Emery waves her hand and the boy passes out and she catches him. "careful, put him in the basement." Alaric said walking from behind his desk as Hope had a look of worry on her face as Emery picked the boy up like he weighted nothing.

"you are strong." Klaus said and she shrugs. "perks of being an alpha." she muttered slightly ignoring his being making her family frown. "how old are you?" Tyler asked her. "twenty three. i was eighteen then." she replies tone bored. "Emery." she heard her aunt Freya say. "did i say something wrong?" she asked confused. "never mind." her aunt said making her shrug.

Emery was walking to her room when she felt something. "what bitch." she snarked out. "now that is no way to speak to your grandmother." she heard making her get to her room and close the door. "i don't care who you are. why must you always bother me?" she asked sitting down on her bed. "your magic, it's getting to be a lot." Ester said making her scoff. "yes because i am blind and couldn't see nor feel it." she said tone snarky and angry. "what the fuck do you want?" she snapped out and Ester just looks at her. "you should let your wolf out more. it'll help your magic." Emery looks at her with a glare. "yes because the last time i did that i nearly killed half of this stupid ass town." the girl paced around. "if you haven't noticed neither of the shit you suggested helped me. which makes no fucking since you created me. so tell me what the fuck is going on with my body."

Esther smirks and looks around her room. "you simply haven't finished your purpose." she then looks at her granddaughter. "your nothing like your parents, which is sad because i gave them a gift." she said tauntingly making Emery growl. "a gift. you call me a gift?" she snaps out. "gifts don't kill people." Esther looks at her and smiles. "you act a lot like Niklaus." Emery eyes flash and she goes for the woman. before she could even reach her she appeared behind her. "you are a wolf and a witch." she said. "an abomination." she said as she walked around the girl. "something you made." she says tone now bored. "tell me. if your mother wasn't dead would you have a better bond with your sister?"

"i'm dead?" Hayley asked and that made Emery roll her eyes as Hope looked down with regret. "sadly." Lizzie said.

"do you think if you chose your sister you wouldn't be in this life of misery." she snapped back not even wanting to think about her sister or mother. "you two remind me of those two. of course we know who is who." Ester said. "you are powerful, do what you have to then contact me." she said grabbing the girls cheeks. "i didn't contact you now." she snaps. "sure." the woman vanishes.
