Chap 04.

Third P.O.V

Landon wakes up freaking out. "Landon." he heard and turns to see Hope and Emery. "what's going on? let me out." he said and for once Emery looked pained to see somebody else in this space. "Landon, you're in no danger." she said. "i'm in a freaking cell." he snaps out. "transition space." they both said. "look MG couldn't compel you." Emery said. "we think you might be on vervain." Hope said as Emery looked at the boy seeing something flash in his eyes. "the town sheriff puts it in the coffee every morning at the gas station we were at."

Emery getting what she wanted walks out. as she was walking down the hall she bumped into someone. "forgive me." she said and looks up seeing Rafael. "um." she looks around not seeing either twin. "are you alright?" his face held anger and regret. "no, i don't know what i'm doing here and i think i just hurt Lizzie's feelings." he said the last part in worry making her smile. "Ellie will get over it. walk with me." he looked at her and she rolls her eyes. "child chile i won't kill you." he reluctantly nods and she grabs his arm.

Rafael had a face making her look at him. "what?" she asked as they got to the gym. "what is your story?" he asked and she chuckles. "i'm going to like you wolfie." he frowns at that making her give him a dark grin. she pulls her lip up and her canines are shown. "we are the call to the wild." she told him softly. "you are here because of an accident. me however i killed on purpose."

the room was quiet.

"my sister and i broke our curse a couple years ago." she said softly face holding anger and something nobody could tell. "i killed a couple of people in a fit of rage when they went after my sister." she said as she picked up a ball. "i didn't know you and Hope were sisters." he said and she laughs. "that's complicated. something i don't want to explain right now." he looks at her seeing something. "you look like you don't like your sister." she smiles. "you're the first to realize that as a newbie." he shrugs and she just hums. "i don't like her."

"harsh." Hope said and she just shrugs. "i just don't like you. simple." Kol looked between his nieces and he understood where Emery was coming from.

"but just because i don't like her doesn't mean i won't protect her." she tosses him the ball. "now i want you to listen because this is a warning." he looked on curious. "the pack will try to ruse you. you will fight back because that's in our nature but this pack we don't play. you are either in or out. Jed is an alpha like me and like you." she stops and looks him in his eyes. "an alpha feels threaten if another doesn't comply. since you are new you will have to submit because you have too. but you go to classes every day, you pay attention then you can challenge him but right now. you comply."

"and if i don't" he asked and she smiles. "you'll be alone and that's not something you want in this school. wolves are territorial." she then walks out giving him a nod and disappearing.

Hope sat down and Josie joins her. "what are you thinking about?" Hope shrugs. "i don't know." Josie frowns. "are you coming to the party?" Hope shakes her head. "no, why go when she hates me." Josie looks around. "she doesn't hate you Hope." said girl scoffs. "she told me she'd rather have a dagger in her heart than be around me." she looks at Josie. "she hates me. my sister hates me." she said voice hurt yet calm. "she's just mad." something flashed in Hopes eyes and that made Josie frown deeper. "just come." she said.

"i'm alright." she said walking off to her room. as she fell onto her bed and closed her eyes a memory passed making her groan.

"they are disrespectful." she heard her sisters voice spit out in venom. on the screen was a fifteen year old Emery and a sixteen year old Hope. "Emery calm down." she said making the girl glare at her. "don't talk to me today." she snaps making Hope and their aunt Freya frown. "Emery." her aunts sharp tone barked out making her glare into the sky. "Emery." she heard making her turn to her father and glare. "what?" her voice angry, she didn't hold back, she never did. not after her mother died.

"let today be of peace." he said and she glares at him. she goes to open her mouth when three black vans showed up making the girls angry. Klaus tries to grab them but Emery slips from his grasp. "what the fuck are you doing here." Hope tried to walk over to her sister but Freya held her back as Klaus and Elijah approached Emery. "we've come to pay our respects." one male said smirking. something in Hope snapped as she growled and lifts her hands. "HOPE!" she hears Freya shout in distraught as the girl throws her hands out setting the vans on fire.

a couple of people walk up behind Hope but Freya and Emery get to them first. Emery pulls out a couple of heart as more vans pull up. now it was Emery who destroyed the vans. "EMERY!" she ignored everything and everyone as she killed more people who tried to kill her sister. she gets to a man who threw something at her sister. "the only person that gets to kill my sister is me." she barks out eyes flashing purple. she then yanks his heart out with a smirk. "Emery." she heard Hope and she just wipes her hands off on the dead man flipping Hope off as she walked off.

"you hate your whole family, and for what?" Landon asked. "i don't hate my family. i love Kol, Davina, and Freya." she said with a shrug. Lizzie laughs and she smiles. "and i don't hate any of them." her tone went serious. "you can't hate someone who made you because then you just end up hating yourself." Marcel smiles. he taught Hope and her that. "believe me and there are times where i want to hate them but then that means i hate myself and myself is the only person i can trust."
