I was eating a chocolate ice cream cone covered in sprinkles. The trip to the zoo was amazing. I was drawn to the deer like no other animal. Mom was driving. Our car was old and small, but everything's old and small in the year 1981.

"Enjoy your time sweetheart?" Mother asked.

I nod.

"I have a present for you." She smiles as we stop at home.

I ran inside. I open the door. I see a brand-new radio. Not just any radio. A radio from the 1930s. I look at it. It was beautiful. I run my fingers over it. It felt smooth. I turn it on. I listen to "We'll meet again Some Sunny Day." I sway my head. The music rang in my ears.

"Do you like it, Alastor?" Mama asked.

I ran to hug her.

"I love it. Thank you, Mother!" I yell happily.

Mother tenderly embraces me.

"I'll always love you, Alastor." Mother says.

I nod.

"I love you too." I say hugging her tightly.
