It was Halloween tomorrow and Athena was really excited. She just came out from detention with Fred and George. They had kept a chair in the transfiguration classroom which bursts out into coloured powder when sat on. They kept the chair in the teachers table. Mcgonagall knew it was them cause this was the second time she got pranked by them.

"That was tiering." Athena groaned as they made their way to the Gryffindor common room.

"Oh, you have to put up with this if you want to keep on pranking." George said in a sing-song voice.

"I know!! Can't we have a break. I mean, it's Halloween tomorrow!" Athena yelled.

"Ok fine, only till the fourth of November and no longer." Fred said.

"Thank you boys!" She shrieked and went to bed.

--------------------------------------------

It was Halloween, she was really excited about the Halloween feast. The decorations were marvelous. There were live bats hanging here and there and singing pumpkins trained by professor Flitwick.

They were in Charms class. They were learning the levitating charm. They were allotted into pairs. Harry was paired with Seamus, Ron with Hermione and Athena was paired with Parvati. She was sitting just behind Hermione and Ron.

"Stop, you are going to take someone's eye out, besides you are saying it wrong. It's LeviOsa, not LeviosA." Hermione corrected.

"You have a go if your so clever." Ron challenged.

Hermione glanced at Athena.

"Wingaardium LeviOsa." Athena and Hermione said at the same time with a swish and a flick. Their feathers rose and started to float. Hermione glanced at Ron who was now looking at the feathers in awe.

"Oh, look everyone! Miss Granger and Miss Black has done it! Ten points to Gryffindor!" Professor Flitwick said.

Their charms class ended right after Seamus had burned his feather. Ron, Harry and Athena were walking in to corridor.

"It's LeviOsa not LeviosA. She is insufferable, honestly. No wonder she has got no friends." Ron complained.

Athena smacked him on his head. "What am I then!" She yelled.

Just then Hermione passed by. Athena could have swore she saw her crying. Athena smacked Ron again and went after Hermione. She went into the girls bathroom and locked herself in a cubical. Athena knocked, but she heard sobbing instead.

"Hermione... Hermione..." Athena said knocking.

"Go away... I don't want any sympathy... you didn't hear what he said... I have NO friends..." Hermione said.

"No, that's not true. You have a friend and she is right outside the cubical for you. I am not showing sympathy. I want you to know that I will be there for you any time and every time. Come when you are ready." Athena said and left the bathroom.

Hermione didn't show up for the rest of the classes, or lunch. Athena was worried but knew not to disturb her, she knew how to take care of herself.

Athena was in the courtyard, playing her flute, waiting for the Halloween feast to start. She saw Harry and Ron.

"Oi, the feast is starting, COME ON!" Ron yelled. Athena nodded and jumped of the wall and kept the flute inside the her robes and rushed behind them.

Athena enters the great hall and went to the Gryffindor table and sat between Ron and Harry and the twins. The feast started and they all were eating when professor Quirrill came in running and rushed to the staff table.

"Troll - in the dungeons - thought you ought to know." He said and fainted the next second. There was an uproar and it took many purple sparks from Dumbledore to get the students attention.

"Prefects" he yelled. "Lead your house back to the common room's. Slytherin's, go to the courtyard."

When the Gryffindor's were moving out, something got Athena's eye. She saw professor Snape heading in a different direction. That was it, she was overtook by curiosity and followed him. She then realised that he was heading to the third floor corridor. Out of the corner of her eye, she was Harry and Ron and winked at them as she disappeared behind Snape into the corridor. The door was already open when they reached. That rose suspicion in Athena. She heard he three headed dog bark and growl. She saw a hooded figure. Snape went inside but Athena stayed out sticking with the wall.

"GET OUT! YOU HAVE NO CHANCE TO GET IN!" He yelled.

The hooded figure rushed past Athena. She was grateful that it didn't see her. Suddenly she heard a cry of pain. When she peeked in, she saw Snape on the floor, clutching his knee, and disarmed. Athena gasped as she saw the three headed dog advancing on him. She remembered she had her flute with her. Without thinking twice she ran in and this got the three headed dog's attention. Athena keeled beside Snape.

"Episky!" She yelled. There was a sudden jerk in his knee which ment his knee was fixed but it was still bleeding.

The dog was about to strike, when Athena pulled out her flute and started playing 'Walking On Sunshine' tune. The dog calmed down a bit and started to back away. Athena slowly moved towards Snape's wand and kicked it him. Then gestured him to go outside. Once Snape was outside, and the dog fell asleep, she walked out to find Snape with his arms crossed over his chest.

"What are you doing here Black?" He questioned.

"I followed you, and helped you." She answered simply.

"Why?" Asked Snape with a I-know-that look.

"You see, everyone in the staff were rushing towards the dungeons, but I saw you going in a different direction. Sometimes, my curiosity just overtakes my." She answers truthfully. "But are you alright professor? You are bleeding badly."

"Yes, I know that." He snarled. Athena didn't mind at all. He snarls at her all the time.

"The hooded figure, that's professor Quirrill. Isn't it?" Athena said which shocked Snape. He nodded.

"You better keep your little mouth shut, or else..." He threatened.

"I promise, I won't tell anyone and I better be of, you know..." and tried to sneak away.

"Where do you think you are going?" Snape asked with a evil smirk.

"Ok, let me guess, detention." Athena said in a matter-of-factly tone.

"Yes"

"Can I do it tomorrow? Please." She begged.

"Ok, fine." Snape answered cause it was already late and past curfew.

"Thanks... and get your knee checked." She added and skipped away.

She reached her dormitory and got changed. She laid down on the bed and slept.
