Chasing After Sin

it has been a week since the sudden confession, and as expected, they've became awkward. he wished they're not at a stranger stage. though, she'd do her best to avoid him, it's a routine now. they avoid each other at all cost.

but that did not go for long, especially when their full-album preparation came.
they had to see each other every seconds, not to mention, pretending nothing has happened between them.

despite the pretense, the weird tension built by them was obvious for the others.
it was not new for yang and dery to witness their fight, but both were sure the reasons behind the cold-shoulder was something else. none would dare to interfere.

a week turned into two, then turned into a month of avoidance.
let's just say that pretending worked. they've got normal again. simple talking, and exchanging gazes here and there. but his feeling did not waver even a bit. in fact, it became uncontrollable.

the preparation of full-album receive a green light for the comeback schedule in the upcoming month.
today was the day of their title recording.
aeri was the last to enter the studio as she's been hiding in her brother's workplace to rehearse her own verse.

"gi, there you are." the producer greeted her.
"sorry for being late. I got lost of time."
the senior producer gave her a motherly smile. "I heard you've been preparing alot. I understand." she patted her shoulder. "so, ready when you are."

"let's do it."

she did well, but not satisfied.

"giselle, I think you did great."
"thanks senior, but i kinda want to try it a riskier way." she responded from the recording room, which made producer oh smirked.
"oh, you two are just the same."

"who?"
"who else? jeno recorded the same verse over five times. not to mention, he wrote that as well. he sure had a lot of ideas for one line. you're no different, gi."

well, that stunned her.

he wrote it? no wonder it felt painfully familiar.

"you got me doing danger, violation never been high on my list. you got me chasing after sin." - the line.

she requested to hear his verse, and she regret. she wouldn't be able to sleep tonight, or ever listen to this song ever again.

the day of the music video shooting came so soon.
the concept was not something they usually did, thus all of them were excited to try out.

well, not until the plan was rolled out. it got aeri hesitated.
her eyes met him, as if they had the same uneasy thought of the upcoming duo scene.

"director, could we possibly get actors to film this? i-I think they would do a better job than u-us." aeri reasoned out, which made the out-going director chuckled.
"oh come on, this is not even an acting. aren't you real couple?"

right, not many people know about their media play.

"but it's a bit out of my scope-" aeri did not give up, in case she could convince him.
director jeon seemed to get the drill, and started consider. "if that's uncomfortable for you, let me see if i can find an actress real soon. don't worry."

"w-wait." she caught his arm before he could walk away. "just the actress? how about the actor?"
the male director shrugged. "jeno agreed to give it a shot. why would i waste time spending on hiring another actor to take his place-"

"i'll do it. pretend i don't say anything."

that got director laughing out loud. "that got jealousy out of you, gi."
