News

the new week started, as their official hiatus ended.
jeno went straight to the management office as soon as he arrived the building. manager yoon accompanied him.

"I want to believe every words of yours, jen, but your speech is groundless. I need evidence." director kang stated. "you can't just point finger and assume-"

"i'm his son."

the director was shocked, processing the information.
"is that enough for you to trust me?"

"I-if that's so, would there be reasons for him to drag you down?"
"we have complicated relationship." he let out a deep sigh. "you know what, sir. I don't really care whether this company goes down hill, all I care is my members, my team."

the executive did not take his arrogant well. "you-"
"I did give you my warning. sooner or later, his minions will be succeeded in taking over this company before you even realise."
"what's your evidence-"
"didn't you notice, sir?" manager yoon finally spoke up. "minority shareholders had been asking to sell their shares to this new mysterious investor."

that got director kang speechless. he had been busied with the operation and plan of the whole company, not associating with any investment or shareholding at all. "alright. I noted your warning, jeno. we'll be more careful, especially for your upcoming project-"

"sir" there was a knock on the door from his secretary who seemed to be in rush.
"what is it, hyunseo."
she skipped towards him with an ipad. "good that you're here, sir lee."

jeno gave her a confused look, but then director kang slammed the ipad on the table. "they're.." out of word to describe.
manager yoon took out her phone, only to see scandalous news regarding the two members of Midnight.

"hyunseo, call for urgent executive meeting."
"yes sir."
"also, I need aeri to be here as well."

Breaking!!!
Two members of the rookie band- Midnight- were seen together late at night, suspiciously too closed.

*inserted pictures of them staying approximately closed under the heavy snow falls. jeno carrying her, holding hands. all pictures paint a perfect scene of them having lovely time*

aeri was in the practice room with dery when yangyang broke in with horror written all over his face.
then, she received a call from the top, and reported immediately to the director's office.

everyone looked like the world's ending.
there were publication team ready to finalise the words prepared by the executives. they just need her confirmation.

"what was really happening at that time, aeri?" director kang asked as soon as she took a seat.
she glanced at her leader who gave her a blank stare. "I told him the truth."

but what truth?

"uh.. we were out on the first snow.... just whatever captured there were all true, except the narrative interpreted in a twisted way." she told. "we were not having any romance. I was at my lowest point, he was there for me. that's what happened."

the room was quiet. her words were simply constructed, but they made it look like she just had an academic implication speech.

"if that's so..-" director kang signals the publication team to proceed the word. "I hope you wouldn't mind if we decided to play along, aeri."

"w-what do you mean by that?" aeri turned to jeno and manager yoon, asking for clarification. but none of them could spell out a word.
"well, they want us to respond negatively, in which we gave them the exact opposite. " the director locked his hands together, as he leaned to the table, looking at her in all seriousness. "you two are seeing each other."
