It's been a week since the battle of Fairytail. I've been taking on quite a few jobs. But Erza and the master won't stop nagging me. Erza about telling everybody of my class promotion. Gramps on the fact I won't become an A class wizard. I tried to avoid being alone with them as much as possible. But Erza cornered me in the bathroom and I can't say no when that master asks to speak with me. " I thought he was part of our family! We all know he's a jerk, but come on!" I heard Natsu yelling at the master. He's really upset about this huh? After the battle Laxus was kicked out of Fairytail. Does he think it wasn't hard for Gramps to do that. " that is quite enough." Erza said, Natsu groaned. " but now that he's gone, I may never get the chance to fight him again! I just know I'd be strong enough to beat him next time!" Erza walked up, grabbing Natsus shoulder. "I said enough! Imagine how the master must be feeling right now. Do you think he expelled Laxus because he wanted to?" Natsu looked down, shaking his head. Happy crawled his way onto Natsus shoulder. " I still can't believe he ended up being A dragon slayer just like you!" I really thought everyone knew that. He had the same vibe as Gajeel and Natsu. I guess there was something slightly off with his magic though. "No, Laxus was never a real dragon slayer." He explained how Laxus got his magic from a lacrima. Makes sense why there was something off. His father sounds like a real ass. The master tried to resign as guild master but Fried talked him out of it. Lucy ended up getting second place in the beauty contest. I sighed, slightly upset I didn't get to participate. Erza of course got first, but honestly I don't mind. I've been going on jobs so me and Lucy aren't that desperate for money. I do need to pick up a job soon though. "Aw! There goes our rent money!" Lucy cried, holding onto me. " you can take a job." Natsu said making Lucy cry more. " but winning the pageant would have been so much easier." I rolled my eyes at her. She laid her head onto the table and I walked away from her. A hand grabbed mine pulling me to the bar. "Woah, oh! What is it Natsu?" He says next to me and smile evilly. "I know your keeping a secret from me." I gasped and pulled away from him. Sweating nervously. "Me? Secret? Hahah no wayyyy." He was clearly not buying it. Happy jumped onto my lap. "Telll us n/n please." They both began to beg me. I'm horrible at keeping things. Finally after getting my face pinched I blurted. "Ok ok! Gramps promoted me to a B class wizard." They both stopped and I felt a hand on my head. "Really? Congratulations Y/n" I looked up to see Gray smiling at me. "You weren't supposed to hear that ice boy!" I shrieked, throwing a punched that he blocked. "Awww N/n good job!" Happy said, hugging me. I grumbled but noticed Natsu staring intensely at me. "Does Lucy know?" I began to sweat again before blurting out. "Oh look at that! Me and Luce should go look for a job bye!" I ran to Lucy, for my life at this point. Lucy got to me first, screaming at me. "A reporter for Sorcerer weekly is gonna be here! Here! I'm freaking out!" I stared at her with a blank look. Really, she's that worried over some reporter? " so this reporter comes to fairytale, and he gets blown away by my stunning good looks." She says, " oh, Lucy, beauty like yours must be shared with the world!" And I'll finally get my chance to be the weekly centerfold! This is the faithful encounter she was talking about!" She started to rambled more making me concerned for her mental health. I don't think she's doing ok. " wow, Lucy finally snapped huh?" Happy said, Natsu shook his head. " she's probably just got a bad case of gas or some thing." Gray walked up, shaking his head. " come on man. She's obviously freaked out because her rents dew again, and she's completely broke." I crossed my arms, glaring. " yeah, well if she wouldn't blow the money that I got from missions, then we wouldn't be in this mess." I pouted slightly, I mean I know she's likes her clothes. But still. Jeez. Lucy ran off and I sighed. Gray and Natsu then looked at me with a serious look. "Ok y/n, seriously why haven't you told Lucy?" Gray asked, making me frown. I looked down, crossing my arms. " we've both been dreaming of this since we were kids. All her life this is what we wanted, fairytale. And we promise we would move up the ranks together. And I broke that promise." I clenched my fist, my heart pounding. Natsu looked at me confused. " it's not your fault Gramps thought you were good enough for B class." I shook my head and I sighed. " he wants me, to move to A class." Both their eyes widened and I sat down. Laying my head in a table. "Y/n..." I put a hand up, signaling I was done talking.

I was woken up by some guy screaming. The reporter is here, he was freaking out about Erza. Lucy tried to get his attention and it didn't work. All of a sudden he was at my table. "Oh.my. Goodness! Your Y/n! That blacksmith mage." I smiled at him, tightly. "Yup that's me-" he began to take pictures of me. Bombarding me with questions. Luckily it didn't last long and he moved onto another wizard. " you jerk! You're the one who's always writing that bad stuff about me!" Natsu yelled at the report. My eyes narrowed in on the guy. What a prick. " can I shake your hand sir?" The reporter asked, I walked over to Lucy. Helping her off the ground. Natsu punched the reporter making me laugh out loud. "Ten points for Natsu!" I called, making Gray laugh. Lucy was looking down sadly. The reporter hasn't talk to her at all. " i've got no other choice. I'll have to swallow my pride and pull out the big guns." Lucy said, she ran off and came back in a bunny outfit. Oh my goddess. What is she doing? " i'd like to sing a little number for you." Lucy, I haven't heard you sing in a long time. Before she got the chance Gajeel shoved her off the stage. I quickly caught her. "I got this Blondie!" Lucy looked mortified. Gajeel began to play a song. Natsu ran up punching him off the stage. Causing a full fight to break out. The reporter began to take pictures before getting hit in the crossfire. Next time I'm skipping sorcerer weekly's visit. That night I sat next to Lucy. Wondering why she was blushing so much. " whoa, what's with that creepy face you're making?" Natsu asked, walking up to us. " you got some kind of problem with my face?!" Natsu ignored her questions, pulling a paper from his pocket. " guess what. I got us a job." I smiled, leaning my face into my hand. " we've gotta meet up with a client first thing in the morning, so we're gonna have to hop on the last train tonight." Lucy furrowed her eyebrows. " like right now? Go without me." I looked at her confused. Why doesn't she wanna go? " but I thought you were all stressed out about needing money to make rent this month." Natsu frowned deeply. " it's just not a good time for me. Sorry. I'm going out on a date tonight." I spit out the drink I had, choking on it. What? Happy and Natsu walked away sadly. I stood up, going to follow them. " geez, just because I'm not going doesn't mean it's the end of the world." I caught up with them. "Hey Natsu! I'll still go!" His face lit up and he took my hand. "Really!? Yes!" We made it to the train and got in our seats. Looking out the window. " oh well, guess Lucy isn't coming after all." Happy said, Natsu leaned back onto me. I frowned at his sadness. He really wanted both of us on this trip huh? A little while passed and I sighed. " yep, I figured she wouldn't show up." I turned my head and my eyes widened. Lucy stood behind Natsu seat, smiling." you guys talking about me? Here for duty!" I smiled at her. So she made it after all. " what happened? I thought you had a date tonight." She scratched the back of her head. " yeah, well why don't you tell me about this job that's perfect for me?" Happy smile at her. " it will pay your rent exactly, 70,000!" Lucy looked shocked, of course they got a job like this for us. " that is what you pay for rent each month, right? So you guys should be set for the next three months." Happy rolled his eyes and looked at Natsu. " no. It'll last one month. That's why I said exactly." Lucy frowned at the two. " but wait a second. What about the two of you?" Natsu just smiled, placing his arm over my shoulder. " we can't afford you guys to lose your place because then we'd have to find somewhere else to work out." Lucy face dropped as she stared at the two. I giggled lightly. The train took of and Natsu got sick. I noticed a girl with blue hair walk by. Hm, is she a wizard. I sighed pulling Natsu into my lap. Running my hands through his hair like always.
