"London is beautiful from up here. What a view!" Louis let out with excitement. He seemed like a kid having fun at the candy store. Today was a new day! Today marked the beginning of a shift where he would be known as more than just a drug dealer and owner of businesses. He would be on the board of an administration! A suit. A real corporate gentleman. "Can I get an office here?"
"No," Zayn responded, typing away on his computer.
Louis had arrived about twenty minutes ago and was adamant about staying in his office, being a nuisance. He wanted to get the fill of what it was like to be at the top of the mountain.
He walked in with his head held high, in an impeccable Westwood suit and shiny shoes. His hair was pulled back, showing his boyish looks, and piercing blue eyes. He didn't even dare to smoke a cigarette; he didn't want to smell like it - he wanted the hallways to smell like his Hugo Boss cologne.
Since he had been in Zayn's office he had asked Denise for water, then coffee and now was just pacing about. It was about ten minutes to the meeting, and he couldn't wait to sit and slam his fist into the table. What a move! What a boss move!
Outside, some of the board members were already moving to the room, marching like an army, and talking amicably.
"Why not? I'd get one right down the hall from you." He smirked, walking towards Zayn's desk with hands in his pockets and a grin. "We'd be neighbours."
"And you'd conduct your business here instead of that club of yours?"
"Yes!" Louis responded standing in front of his desk. Zayn looked up with a raised eyebrow, giving him the attention, he so wanted. "I promise the people I deal with are top-notch."
"If you could keep your side business to the streets and not in the halls of Innov, that'd be great."
"You know, you're tense, Zayn." Louis noticed with a frown. "You need to relax. Calm yourself. Breathe in and out. Have you tried meditation?"
"No," Zayn looked back at his computer, typing away.
"Or maybe..." Louis added. "A good night of sex usually helps too."
Louis knew that Harry and Zayn had spent the weekend together. He had eyes all over the city and even further back to their hometown. They hadn't been discreet either - rolling around in a brand-new Continental, it's bound to make people look. He also knew they had spent the night at Yitty, loving the vibe of fat girls jiggling their rolls on stage. This was all so obvious and the thought of bursting that little bubble made him chuckle.
Louis could tell that Zayn was very standoffish. He was keeping a level head, holding the wheel with two hands, and being practical. He was even going as far as to say, Zayn had figured out how long this arrangement could last for them to achieve their goals and save the company. He was looking for a way out.
This is not what Louis wanted!
He wanted Zayn to lose. Desperate. Desperation made it possible for things to be done. A desperate Zayn was the cherry on top.
So, he was sitting on that information that he knew Harry and knew they had slept together.
Zayn stared at him with confusion, wondering where that comment was coming from. All that Louis did was smile.
"You don't know this about me, but I've been with the same girl for over 12 years. Weird, right? Her name is Eleanor, she's a pain in my ass. So annoying! We have a toxic relationship - we could kill one another, but somehow, we haven't. We have a son together, an absolute sweetheart...I guess he's the reason we are still trying. All this to say that whenever I have a tough day, Eleanor is exactly right I need."
