Ari Pov
I wake up to Dave holding me from the back and kai cuddled up in the front of me
I literally can't move
"Bae move i need to get ready" I whisper to him so i don't wake up kai , its 10:30 i need to meet Nia so we can go shopping for Mariah's baby shower.
he moved out the way i hear his grumble something but continue to the bathroom to get ready cause Nia has no patience at all
I think i'll bring kai with me so we can bond more ..
after i finished getting ready i picked kai out a cute outfit and woke her up
"Hey pretty girl you wanna have a girls day with me " I whisper to her.
she shakes her head excitedly and walks with me to the bathroom to brush her teeth and get her ready
30 minutes later...
We stopped by starbucks and got something to eat before we start shopping , we get to target for decorations and meet Nia at the entrance
"Oh i've seen you've met kai " she says pulling her shades down looking at kai
" Hi miss Nia " she reaches her hands out to Nia , i looked at them shocked
"Traitors " i roll my eyes at them and gram the buggy
"Kai do you wanna get in the buggy " i ask her
She nods her head and i place her in it and give her my phone so she can watch cartoons
"So how do you really feel about dave bum rushing you about kai" Nia ask's as we walk down the decorations aisle
"I mean he was bum rushed too. so i can't really be that mad at him but it's different and i'm fine with it" i tell her
She smiles to herself "that's great"
"Soo you and my brother what's going on with that now" i ask her as i place the items in the cart
"Things are great right now .. but you know it's always a bitch somewhere ready to mess it up when it's going good" she sighs pushing the cart
" I mean Ari i don't get it he wants me to be fully committed to him but he can't give me the same energy? i mean what the fuck is that about" she says as we head down the baby section
here we go again..
"Nia i only tell you this because i love you leave him be if he doesn't want to be committed to you and only you leave him alone , yes he is my brother but i'm not gonna tell you anything wrong or lie to you" i tell her
"I know but i -"
"Love him i know but it's not that much love in the world to fight with other girls every other week over him" i spoke sternly
"Okay Ari" she gives me a small smile
The truth hurts but she's been dealing with this since we were freshmen in high-school it's time to let go
" Ari daddy's on the phone" kai says handing me my phone
" Y'all could've woke a nigga up damn bed empty as hell" dave says mugging me
" I told you i had things to do today sir me and kai will be back soon bye love you" i don't even give him time as i hung up and give kai the phone back
"Girls day remember" i say as i wink at kai
4 hours later ...
Kai is a busy body she wants to go everywhere and i love it after we got things for the baby shower we ended up at build a bear , the nail salon , the movies and now she's convinced me to take her out for ice cream before we meet her dad for dinner
"Did you have fun today kai" i ask her as we sit down to eat our ice cream
"I really did i hope my mommy lets me come back" she says to me enjoying her ice cream
"I hope so too you might be my favorite person now " i tell her
Maybe it isn't so bad ...
