"Are you sure you're sure?" Kiara asked me for the fifth time since we started packing.

"Yes." I deadpanned.

She just sighs and stares at my long cat stuffed animal that she held in her hands. "I'm really gonna miss you."

"I'm gonna miss you too, but we'll see each other all the time!" I reassure her and I meant it 1000%.

"I know." She smiles.

I decided to wait a couple days before moving into Kovan's house. My boss let me take a two week vacation so I could focus on packing and getting settled in.

I made a mental note to buy her a gift before I go back to work...which meant I wouldn't remember. So I jotted it down on a random Bluey notebook I found lying around.

"Baby, I'm glad you're moving in but do you really need all of these?" Kovan asked and showed me a box full of sippy cups.

Heh.

"I'd lose them and buy new ones. I'm assuming Henry..."

"You assumed correctly. I found one behind the TV, Sage. How?" Henry interrupts.

I just shrug sheepishly. Kovan just rolls his eyes with a smile and follows Henry out of the room.

"You've got him wrapped around your finger already. I'm so happy to finally see you with a caregiver." Kiara says and nudges me.

I smile, thinking about how sweet and perfect Kovan was.

"Thank you for taking care of me all these years."

"Don't get all mushy on me."

We hug and continue to pack for the next hour. Kovan also had a truck which I should've seen coming. He was simply too perfect. So everything was able to fit in one trip since I wasn't taking much of the room furniture.

"I'll literally see you tomorrow for dinner." I tell Kiara who was holding my hand from outside the car.

"Call me tonight!" She insists and I promise to do so.

I couldn't believe any of this was happening. I was dating an amazing guy and caregiver. I was moving in with him!

Kiara agreed to help hide it from my family until I was ready to tell them. My mom and siblings were great and supportive, but they didn't know about my lifestyle. So I wasn't sure how they'd react to me moving in with a guy I've been dating for less than a month.

"We will have to go shopping after I unload everything. Your little room isn't complete." Kovan says.

"Shopping?" I ask excitedly and he nods.

"If you're a good girl while we're out, we can get ice cream afterwards."

I got butterflies in my tummy hearing him say good girl. He knew just how to put me into my deepest little headspace.

"I'm always good girl." My voice gave away how little I was feeling.

"My pretty, good girl." He agrees with a smile.

I was melting.

Kovan refused to let me unload anything when we got to his house...or our house. So I played with Olly in the backyard while he took everything to my little room.

I'd only peaked inside the room once before and it was mostly empty. There was a bed with a white canopy hanging over it, white shelves with a few books and toys, and a TV mounted to the wall.

He said I could decorate it however I wanted to!

A little while passes before Kovan finally comes to the backyard where I was throwing Olly's squeaky toy. We'd been playing fetch and Olly would do the cutest trot back with the toy in his mouth.
