Taylor Swift Seen Laughing With Bassist and Songwriter Lucia David At Reputation Meet and Greet: Will Lucia David Be The Newest Member of The Infamous 'Swift Crew'?

Lucia wasn't sure what she was supposed to text Taylor to start a conversation. She'd fought herself since the concert about how she should do it. Be straightforward, ask about the weather, or propose marriage right then and there. She decided to simply try 'Hey.'

@LuciaDavid
Hey!

@TaylorSwift
Hey stranger! I've been waiting!

@LuciaDavid
Sorry, I've been trying to figure out how to talk to you lol

@TaylorSwift
I thought so. I'll be in London for a few more days if you can meet up to write at some point?

@LuciaDavid
I have a place in Brixton. I studied in London, so I've kind of been here ever since.

@TaylorSwift
I had no idea! No wonder your English is so good.

@LuciaDavid
Yup. I've been learning English since primary school, but being in the UK def helped.
Do you think you could swing by tonight? I've got to fly back to Italy in a few days.

@TaylorSwift
Sure. Just send the address and I'll be there around six with dinner.

@LuciaDavid
Sounds like a plan.

@TaylorSwift
I'll text you when I'm on my way.  Here's my number-

Lucia was astonished that Taylor felt comfortable enough around her to give out her number so willingly. Lucia put Taylor's number in her contacts under the name 'Blondie.' Her thumb hovered over her brother's contact- she didn't know if she should tell him. It's possible if he found out he would speed walk from Rome to London to see Taylor. She clicked it anyway, knowing she'd regret it.

"Ehi sorellina, come va?" (Hey Sis, What's Up?) Damiano asked, looking up from the piano.

"Ho solo pensato di farti sapere che oggi non sarò disponibile. Scriverò un po' con Taylor." (Just thought I'd say I'm going to be unavailable today. I'm gonna write some with Taylor.) Lucia tried to respond as flatly as possible. Still, at the mention of the blonde Damiano's face lit up.

"Sei fottutamente serio? Taylor come Taylor Swift?" (Are you fucking serious? Taylor as in Taylor Swift?) He sputtered, knocking his phone over in the process.

"Yes, Damiano. I told you she wanted to write." Lucia tried to hide her blush by looking at her lap.

"Yeah, but I didn't think she would follow through." Damiano giggled. His Italian accent was much thicker than his sisters, seeing as Lucia had spent a long time in the UK.

"Wow, Damian," Lucia said in her best American accent, making her brother crack up even more. "I know it's crazy that one of the world's biggest artists is writing with me and not you... But still." she looked down at her nails and she could tell he was fuming.

"Ti odio a volte. Lo sai che?" (I hate you sometimes. Do you know that?) Damiano grumbled.

"I love you too Dam." Lucia gave him a big smile. "I'm gonna get the place ready."

"When is she coming?"

"Six." Lucia stood up, carrying her phone toward the cleaning closet.

"It's three your time Luc, I think you're okay." Damiano began playing a melody Lucia couldn't name.

"Something new?" she asked, pulling a mop from the long-closed closet.

"I'll show it to you when you get home. Focus on prepping to wow Taylor. Ti amo."

"Ti amo, Dam. Good luck with the melody." Lucia waved before hanging up and putting her phone down.

She hummed a baseline she'd been working on as she began to mop the floor, pausing occasionally to pull out an immaculate air guitar solo. She was surprised she was having so much fun doing housework. She made her way into the living room, tossing empty water bottles and a salad box she'd forgotten was in there.

Lucia finished up her frantic cleaning around 4:30 and decided to binge Everything Sucks for the third time that week, knowing it would take up most of her time.

When she finished crying after the last episode, it was almost six. She cleared off the coffee table, setting two wine glasses on the table just in case Taylor wanted some. She found the lighter she kept in her junk drawer and started burning incense, as she usually did when she wrote. Lucia tried to be as calm as possible when she heard the knock at the door.

"Hi! Come on in." she smiled. Her left eye twitched nervously as she watched Taylor's face.

"Thanks! I brought pizza, I usually like to eat shitty food when I write." Taylor grinned, walking into the living room. She set the pizza on the table next to the glasses and made herself comfortable on the couch.

"Do you want some wine? I've got a bottle of my friend's rosè in the cupboard." Lucia asked, standing awkwardly near the door.

"Before that, I have something I'd like you to sign." Taylor pulled a piece of paper from her coat pocket, handing it to Lucia to read.

"An NDA, huh? Pensi che parlero a TMZ?" (Do you think I'm going to spill to TMZ?) Lucia grumbled, reading through the fine print.

"I don't know what you said- but I understood TMZ. I trust you, Lucia. It's just Tree tends to be proactive about me getting into friendships. We've had a few instances where ex-friends have tried to sell my secrets, and she doesn't want to have to pay them off again. It helps keep our friendship and partnership safe." Taylor explained. "I'd like to write with you again if this goes well."

Lucia blushed at the sentiment. She was confident in her songwriting skills, but to have Taylor Swift compliment them was very different. She pulled the pen she kept behind her ear from its spot, quickly scribbling a signature.

"I'll get the wine and we can get started?" Lucia rubbed the back of her neck, waiting for Taylor's response.

"Sounds perfect." She gave a little thumbs up and Lucia walked away.

She came back in with a large bottle of cheap wine that she was sure Taylor wouldn't be impressed with. "I used to love that wine when I was younger." Taylor grinned through a mouthful of pizza.

"I'm glad." Lucia met her eyes, not wanting to pull away.

Taylor cleared her throat, pouring a large glass of wine. She took a huge swig before beginning.

"Okay, here are a few things I've been working on."
