Lucia woke up with a pounding headache. So, obviously, the writing session had been successful. They ended up writing around three songs for Taylor and two for Lucia. Lucia rubbed her eyes, looking around to see the pile of papers next to her. She must have dosed off last night, which means Taylor left...
"Hey! I took a toothbrush from underneath the sink, I hope that's okay." Taylor walked in wearing one of Lucia's faded Italian TV shirts. "Oh, and the shirt." she smiled.
"You're still here? Sto sognando?"(Am I dreaming?) Lucia looked over and Taylor was very much real.
"Yeah. It got super late last night after you fell asleep so I just decided to crash, it's a little risky going out after dark right now." She explained, walking over to her bag to pull out a hoodie.
"That's true. I can make you breakfast if you'd like?" Lucia offered with a yawn.
"Don't be silly, I'm nothing if not a wonderful guest, m'lady. Do eggs sound okay, my gracious host?" Taylor giggled, bowing dramatically.
"They sound perfect," Lucia smiled. "Do you want to write some more today? I leave around 4 tomorrow morning." She asked, looking up from her phone.
"I would love to, but I'm going to see my boyfriend today before I leave. Joe's been kind of clingy recently," Taylor explained, a flash of a frown showing on her lips before disappearing once more.
"Is that a bad thing?" Taylor glared back at the brunette, "Everything okay?" Lucia rested her head on her hands as Taylor walked into the kitchen.
"The passion used to be there, you know? But sometimes I feel like we're just in a routine- call, pretend our days were good, say we love each other and leave. Now that I'm in London though, he's been all over me. It's confusing." Taylor crouched down, pulling a skillet out of the cupboard. She cracked a few eggs and began beating them like they'd broken her heart.
"That does sound confusing. Do you think maybe he wants... more?" Lucia chose the word carefully, hoping it wouldn't scare Taylor too much.
"Oh fuck, I hope not. I am so not ready to get married. Settling sounds... awful. I like to be on the move. I love Joe, but I don't think I'm ready to marry him, y'know?" Taylor grumbled, pushing the eggs around.
"I wish I could say I did. I haven't dated in a while." Lucia changed the subject, seeing that Taylor had begun to get stressed.
"Why? You're like, so perfect. Gorgeous, funny, talented, and you speak a hot language? What more could you want? The guys are missing out on you!" Taylor laughed, sliding Lucia a plate of scrambled eggs.
"I don't care about the guys if I'm being honest." Lucia blushed. She'd been out to her friends and family as gay since she was 14, but coming out to new people was still scary- especially when they were your idol.
"Oh." Taylor bit her lip, looking for her next words. "Thank you for telling me. I guess the girls are missing out then." she smiled, putting a forkful of eggs into her mouth to stop herself from saying something dumb.
"Thanks for being cool about it." Lucia did the same. They stood there in silence for a moment before Taylor spoke up once more.
"Would you ever be interested in playing bass for the tour at some point?"
Lucia choked on her eggs, spitting yellow everywhere. "Oh my god, are you okay?"
"Yeah. Sorry, that was gross. But yes, I would. As long as it's not in the next two weeks, I'm in Italy till the first week of July." Lucia wiped her mouth off, trying not to freak out even more.
"I haven't released this yet, but I've added shows in Oceania and Tokyo from October to November, so that would probably be the best time. My normal bassist is going to be recording with his band during that time."
"I'd be honored." Lucia smiled. "I'll clean up, feel free to keep the shirt, it's old anyway. It never fit me." she took their plates and scraped them off, Taylor watching from her spot on the counter.
"Thank you so much for letting me stay, Lucy. I'll text you later." Taylor pulled her hoodie on and slipped on a pair of sunglasses even though it was raining.
"Do you want me to drive you?"
"No, Parker's here. I'll be okay. Thanks for the concern though." Taylor smiled, leaning down to peck Lucia's cheek. "See ya!"
Lucia stood there for probably fifteen minutes after Taylor left, screaming internally (and externally) about the fact that Taylor had kissed her. Well, on the cheek, but it still counts. She pulled her phone out and Facetimed Mila.
"What's up, babes? It's like, ten, you know I'm not awake." Mila yawned, the phone shaking as she readjusted her position.
"Number one: Taylor Swift stayed at my house last night and we wrote like a shit ton of Billboard Hot 100 Hits. Number two: Taylor Swift wants me to play bass at her tour. And number fucking three: She kissed me on the cheek before she left." Lucia huffed.
Mila sat up straighter in bed with a skeptical look on her face. "Really?" Lucia moved her camera so that Mila could see the lipstick stain. Yes, she hadn't wiped it off.
"Oh fuck. She did!" Mila squealed so loud Lucia swear she heard it from across London.
"Oh, and I came out."
"You did?" Mila turned her head. "And how did that go?"
"Good. She said she was glad I told her and that she doesn't know why I don't have a girlfriend." Lucia smiled widely.
"Was she flirting with you?" Mila asked excitedly.
Lucia's breath caught in her chest at that thought. "God, I fucking hope so."
"You are such a fan girl."
"TAYLOR SWIFT JUST KISSED ME MILA! Certo che sto fangirling!" (Of course, I'm fucking fangirling.) She cried.
"Luc, I have no idea what that means. I've known you four years and I still don't know any Italian."
"Vaffanculo," (Fuck you) Lucia grumbled.
"I know what that one means,"
