Lucia and Taylor had hardly stopped texting since Taylor left the apartment that night. It felt like they'd known each other their entire lives. They laughed over Facetime throughout Taylor's warmups as she prepped for her concert. Taylor had even brought Lucia backstage as they set everything up.

"What do you plan to surprise people with tomorrow?" Lucia grinned, pulling her covers over her legs. It was nearly two in the morning in Rome, but Lucia refused to hang up the phone, and Taylor had no way to make her.

"I think Mine. I don't know why, but it just feels like a good choice. I guess I'm trying to manifest that feeling back into my relationship." She tried to laugh as she spoke, but she just couldn't. She sat down in her green room, waiting for Tree to arrive.

"Taylor, if the spark is gone, maybe you should think about ending it. I'm sure he'd understand."

"You don't get it. He's so good for me. He's nice and funny, and sweet. I just-"

"Don't feel it anymore?" Lucia tilted her head to get a better view of her phone.

"I just don't see us progressing anymore. I feel stuck." Taylor sighed, her eyes welling up with stinging tears.

"Tay, it's okay to accept that it might be over. I'll be here for you, no matter what." Lucia evened out her voice, trying to be strong for Taylor.

"Not during the tour." Taylor choked, trying to hold back tears.

"Stringing him along will only hurt more. You know that." Lucia rubbed her temples, feeling a throb begin to build behind them.

"Fuck. This sucks." Taylor breathed, wiping her tears. "Thank you, Lucy."

"Anytime, colomba," (dove) Lucia smiled. "Call me whenever," she said with a yawn.

"Probably before the show. Now get some sleep." Taylor tried to return the smile and failed miserably. "Goodnight,"

"Night," Lucia waved before hanging up.

Lucia set her phone down, taking a labored breath. She felt guilty about her feeling for Taylor, knowing they were clouding her judgment somewhat. But she knew that it hurt to be led on worse than to be broken up with. Lucia yawned looking over at her clock that blazed 3:00 am in bright red letters. She rubbed her eyes and laid down, resting her throbbing head on the soft pillow, and soon enough, she fell asleep.

Damiano has a special skill for waking Lucia up in the most annoying ways possible. From the time they were in school, he was great at it. Whether it be spilling water on her face, ripping off her covers in the middle of a Rome winter, or blaring screamo music, he was amazing at it.

"Taylor called," he whispered.

"What?" Lucia shot up, rubbing sleep from her eyes.

"Ha. I knew you were obsessed with her." he snickered,

"Dio, sei fottutamente fastidioso." (God, you are fucking annoying) She rolled her eyes even though she knew he was right.

"Lo so. Comunque, devi alzarti. La band è qui." (I know. Anyway, you need to get up. The band's here.) Damiano patted the bed urgently.

"So she didn't call?" Lucia grumbled.

"Jesus." he rolled his eyes and left the room.

Lucia quite literally rolled out of bed, landing on the floor with an 'oof'. She stood up, disoriented, and stumbled to her closet. She pulled out her outfit for the day, a pair of ripped jeans, a self-cropped band tee, and a leather jacket. She slid into the bathroom in her socks and frantically brushed her teeth.

"I'm here." She huffed when she entered the band room.

"Ehi, Carina! Mi sei mancato tanto!" (Hey, pretty! I missed you so much!) Vic squealed walking over to hug Lucia.

"È bello vederti anche tu, Vic." Lucia smiled, returning the blonde's gesture.

"Come va la grande città?" Thomas asked, referring to London as he gave Lucia another hug.

"Va tutto bene. Confusamente grande, ma va bene." (It's alright. Confusingly large, but alright.) Lucia smiled into his long hair.

"Welcome home." Ethan grinned, offering the slightly overwhelmed Lucia a high-five. She smiled at the gesture and happily accepted.

"So, what are we doing today?" She asked, pulling her electric bass off the wall. Her initials were carved into the neck of the bass, differentiating it from Vic's.

"Vic and I wrote a little riff, you heard part of it, and we wanted you to hear it." Damiano smiled, picking his mic up from the amp it laid on.

"One, two, three, four," Ethan began playing a steady beat before Damiano started to sing.

"I wanna be your slave, I wanna be your master." he sang, before humming out a few gibberish words.

"That sounds good so far, do you have any bass or guitar?" Lucia asked, slinging her shoulder strap on and setting her ringed fingers on the frets.

"Thomas and I wanted to wait for you, you are the lead bassist."

"I was thinking something like this." Lucia began to play a few chords, beginning to attach the music to the bare bones of the melody Damiano had created. "Ethan, could you play the beat?" The brunette nodded and began the simple kick.

"I wanna be your slave, I wanna be your master, I wanna make your heartbeat run like roller coasters." Lucia smiled as she said the last line.

"So a vocal and drum intro?" Vic asked.

"Mhm." Lucia grinned.

"Oh, this is gonna be fun."
