It doesn't mean I condone grooming though, is gross and it's just icky. BUT I also don't know Yagami so I don't wanna assume or judge them based on mistakes as a fellow person on the Autistic Spectrum myself, not that I've made any of those but I've definitely had my own share of fuck ups. If it weren't for them I wouldn't have met my friends in the MHA Fandom funnily enough, I listened to Yagami before ever watching the anime. Plus, that's why I don't condone minors reading my stuff because it's just safer. That's pretty much it for disclaimers .

Being a Hero is stressful, one minute the night patrol could be quiet but within a matter of seconds that could change. Keigo is very aware of this. Lets not forget it puts a massive target on him and loved ones backs. Tonight's patrol is pretty quiet, nothing is really happening. Keigo then starts to think about you. You two haven't been seeing each other for to long; just recently you guys became exclusive. Keigo isn't ready to admit it to himself yet but he's falling hard. With these very new feelings to him comes this level of anxiety. He knows with his job you are a target and could easily be used against him weather it be the Hero Commission or a villain. Perhaps this is why he isn't ready to admit he loves you, because then it would solidify this harsh reality.
He starts to wonder what you could possibly be doing. He checks the clock and it's 1:50 am.
"Hm, they are probably asleep."
He knows you two made plans tomorrow but he can't get this little bout of paranoia to shut up unless he checks on you. He's done this up until this point about three other times. Just making sure your safe in your apartment eases his nerves he's come to realize.
"I can just check for a short bit like usual but then get back to patrol." He thinks to himself.
Little does he know you are definitely not asleep. Granted you tried but you missed your precious bird boy. Every since spending the night at his a couple nights ago you haven't gotten good sleep. You had never had as good of sleep as you did with him. His smell, his comfortable protective embrace, his wings cocooning you both, and his light snoring. You felt very safe in his arms. You have also come to realize you have fallen in love with the red winged hero as well. Why you haven't said anything? Well being vulnerable is scary and, it's getting a little easier to read Keigo but he is still a little bit of an enigma. Currently you are cooking yourself some food while listening and singing some music. Thankfully the walls in your apartment are actually decently thick so you don't feel to bad for doing this plus it's also the start of the weekend. In the middle of your favorite song you just have this intuitive feeling like someone is watching you. You look at your open kitchen window and see nothing so you just go back to singing and cooking. Just outside your window on the ledge Keigo crouches next to your window and watches as you cook.
"Woo, that was a close one." He whispers. He is surprised you are still up. Granted it is the start of the weekend but the past few times he's checked on you it's either you are getting into bed at this hour or you have already been sleeping for a while. His thoughts are interrupted when his ears finally pick up the singing coming from the window. He peaks further into the window to get a closer look at you as you sing and dance. His lips curve into a smile as your voice rings in his head like it's the most enchanting thing he has ever heard. His eyes close slightly as all the paranoia in this moment was silenced and all he could focus on was you. Yup he's definitely in love with you. All the sudden his phone goes off.
"Shit!" He involuntarily says as he covers his mouth.
"AAHH! Keig, what are you doing here I thought you were on the other side of town?! I just texted you to see how patrol was going." You say as you take a deep breath from just being spooked.
"Sorry Songbird, it's been a quiet night.... and I was getting antsy so I just.... wanted to come see you." He says nervously as he scratches the back of his head smiling from embarrassment.
"Oh um, I couldn't fall asleep so I just thought I would make a late night snack. You want some?" You say with a blush on your face "How long had he been sitting out there?" you thought to yourself blushing.
"You know I'm always up for food. By the way..... your voice is very pretty." He says the last part looking down but then looks back into your eyes.
If you weren't already blushing you most definitely were now "they are so cute when they are blushing" he thinks to himself. You thank him and then you both get to eating and talking. Keigo checks the time and it's 3:00 am. "Just three hours left." He thinks.
"I gotta get back to patrol." He says slightly bummed.
"That's okay I'll be seeing you later today." You say as you gather up both sets of dishes with a smile.
"Yea definitely, alright I'll see you later Songbird. Love you." That last part slipped out before he could catch himself "FUCK!" his hand flys to his mouth. Okay now he's the one blushing GREAT. You stare back stunned.
"I love you too." You say with a small voice. He stares back at you with a look of relief. He positions himself right at your window where you are and holds your face and gives you a passionate but soft kiss. It's in this moment he knows the harsh reality but he is gonna do everything in his power to make sure his precious BabyBird is safe and protected.
