Over that boundary for you

Chapter 7: Her name is Linda

"Please, both of you calm down, you almost hurt the baby!" Erica scream. She rushes to get between the two in hopes of calming down the raging anger, but both argue with each other regardless of the teacher complaint. With the baby crying non stop in the background of the couple quelling, It quickly started to irritate the man even more, causing him to now turn his anger against the infant. Angrily marching toward the baby, his action cause Erica to jump into the frame full with worries.

"What are you doing?" Erica quickly jumps in front of man.

"Putting the damn thing outside so that I don't have to listen to it anymore." 

His harsh words make Erica skin shriver. She thought, isn't this suppose to be the child parents.

"Stop that! it's just baby!" Erica shouted.

The man then furiously replied. "Then get it out of here before I throw it out." Erica feeling scared, not because of the man but more about what he will do to the baby if she didn't do anything. So, she quickly takes the baby and get away of the trailer.

Getting further away, Erica realize that she isn't good with babies despite loving chrilden. It the reason why we struggle to hold the baby when the infant kept on moving around in her arms. Like if she doesn't want to be hold by Erica. 

Gentle creasing the baby hair in an attempt to calm the child down. She also tried softly whispering to her. "There, there, nothing is going to happen to you now." But the baby shows no signs of calming down, continuing to try and force itself out of her arms. Erica held on tightly so that the baby doesn't fall and hurt herself. But for how long can she keep this up.

With the baby continuing throwing her tantrum, Erica, not experience with this situation has no idea what to do to calm her down. She is a teacher, she dealt with children daily, but not one as a baby and in this situation. Maybe because of the noise coming from her angry parents still be heard from the trailer. Erica took the baby further away from the noise. But even that didn't stop the crying. She then wonders if her diaper needed to change but after checking, it is still clean. Erica then thought that maybe she is hungry. But she didn't have anything on her to feed her. 

Taking a breath, she decides to unbutton the top of her shirt to give the baby some of her breast milk. Erica feels super awkward doing something like this but it the only thing she can do for her now. 

Before she could get it going, she turned around after hearing someone coming up behind her. It was William walking toward her. He was wearing a hard hat and vest and is covered in dirt from head to toe. Looking  really exhausted. William sees Erica standing in front of his home. "Miss Erica," he looks  surprises.

"What are you doing here?" he wonder. Erica responding with a worry look. "I came to give you your homework for the week." Is what Erica tried to say, but the baby was still moving around too much that Erica almost lost her grip on her, and she nearly drop the baby.  Recognizing the baby, William aggressively shouted at Erica to give him the baby while rushing to her. 

Scaring Erica, she quickly gives William he the still crying child. As soon as the baby went into her William's arms, she immediately begins to calm down. Erica watching the boy is impressed. The way he perfectly folds him arms to support the baby head and body. And the way he angles his body to block the sun from the baby visions. Erica can tell that he is used to handling this.  

Quickly getting back to topic, she asks.

"Where were you coming from and why are you so dirty?" she gives him a concern look. William gives her a stern look. But after hearing his parents still arguing back at the trailer he replied to Erica. "You should leave, you are only going to make things worse."
