Sirius rose from his seat, looking at the grimhound with worry. This was one of the guardian spirits of Hogwarts, the Founders had wanted to make sure that the children in their care would never have to be completely alone and defenceless in case they weren't at the school when something happened. The grimhound was his own set guardian and he knew that each of the Founders had assigned their own set guardians. Salazar's is a basilisk, Godric's is a Nemean Lion, Helga's is a phoenix, Rowena's is a thunderbird. Sirius changed into his animagus form to easier speak with her.

"Vilhelmina, what are you doing here? It's in the middle of the school year." Sirius asked the hound worriedly. Vilhelmina looked at Sirius.

"You wanted to know when the child known as Tom Riddle Jr was born. He was born tonight to Merope Gaunt and Tom Riddle Sr in Wool's Orphanage in London." Vilhelmina responded and Sirius sighed sadly.

"Did Ms.Gaunt survive the birth?" Sirius asked worriedly and Vilhelmina nodded. Sirius sighed with relief and nodded thankfully. Vilhelmina nodded once before she returned to Hogwarts to resume her duties of watching over the students as they slept and making sure that those out of bed were alright.

Sirius smiled slightly before melting into darkness, reappearing in a back-street in Knockturn Alley - right behind a man that was about to rape a five year old girl.

Sirius was furious at the sight and decided there and then that this man would make an apt night snack. His fangs showed themselves and his red eyes glowed in the darkness of the filthy backstreet. The shadows pinned the man to the wall moments before he began feeding off this creep.

Once he finished, he cleaned himself up before turning to the girl. She was familiar and he did recognise her from his first world, but he wanted to be certain and so he decided to help her. Running a quick critical eye over her bloodied and broken body, he realised that she wasn't frozen in fear but rather incapable of moving as her body wasn't responding and she was suffering from extreme blood loss from several wounds.

Sirius hurried to her side, grabbing a Blood Replenishing potion from his satchel and holding it to the girl's lips. She drank it all in one go, before Sirius set to work with healing her body - altering between spells and giving her potions. Eventually, she had gotten all the potions that Sirius knew she needed to recover and so sat back, waiting for her to come back to her senses.

Dawn had arrived, Sirius could see the first rays of daylight as he heard footsteps approaching. It was a woman that had caught sight of the girl and was now hurrying towards them both, although Sirius wasn't sure if she had seen him or the creep's corpse yet

"Minerva?!" The woman shouted and the girl stirred. Sirius watched as the woman, presumably Minerva's mother, ran up to the girl and checked her over. Once the woman was certain that Minerva was alright she looked around, catching sight of the corpse. The woman paled and almost screamed before Sirius showed himself.

"You should be happy that I got to him before he got to your daughter." Sirius spoke up and the woman whirled around to see him. Then the woman paled even more and he sighed. "He was about to rape her when I got here and I've watched out for her since, waiting for her to wake. She passed out from blood loss after I finished with him and I managed to get her to drink a few healing potions before she did." Sirius gave her the rundown of what he did. The woman calmed down the more he talked and came to realise that he was not there to hurt either her or her daughter.

"I apologise for my reaction. I'm a squib, so I tend to be rather paranoid. My name is Miranda McGonagall, she's my daughter - Minerva." Miranda introduced and Sirius smiled at having confirmation to his suspicion.
