A while later, Sirius and Arcturus stood in Lord Sirius Black the Second's office in Black Manor together with Lord Sirius Black 2rd and Lady Amethyst Black neé Nott.

"So, what is the emergency? Because you wouldn't show up here in the middle of the night if there wasn't one." Lord Black said tensely, nodding to Sirius, who took the liberty of sitting down. Lord Black nodded for his son to do the same. Sirius went straight to business.

"We need to keep the baby a secret." Sirius stated and Lord Black's eyes went wide. Amethyst gasped in horror and became worried for her grandson's life. What could possibly have happened for Sirius Emrys to say something like THAT?

"What?! Why in the world would that be?!" He demanded, before shrinking back at Sirius' unimpressed look. Every member of the family's main line knew that you don't speak disrespectfully towards the old vampire and to do so would usually have consequences. But it seemed that his namesake would make an exception today because of his shock, thankfully.

"The complications during the boy's birth have left him a squib, according to Sirius." Arcturus said, sorrow in his voice, and Lord Black's eyes went even wider if possible, before he turned to his namesake for confirmation of his son's claim.

As he did this, he also grabbed a hold of Amethyst's arm to help her ground herself. She had silently started to cry for the sake of her grandson.

"It is true, I am afraid of what kind of future this will grant the poor child, thus we came to speak with thee." Sirius sighed heavily as he slipped back into an older version of the English language, as he had a habit to do whenever he was either furious or worried (neither happening often these days).

Sirius and Arcturus then explained their idea to the Lord and Lady of House Black, Amethyst almost jumping on the plan and pleading with her husband to let this go through. Lord Sirius Black the 2nd was reluctant but agreed as he saw the hope shining in his wife's eyes.

And there was that matter closed.
