Sirius wakes the next morning with a large grin on his face, he looks down at Annabelle who sleeps peacefully in his arm, the shirt he was wearing covering her up.
He lays there for a while gently rubbing the pad of his thumb across her cheekbone as she snores softly beside him, a smile on her lips as that's how she had fallen asleep the night before.
Her blonde hair is splayed around the pillow, some falling over her shoulder. He wraps a strand around his finger gently, allowing it to uncurl before he repeats the process.
"You're staring." A whisper says as her eyes slowly peel open.
He shrugs and moves the fallen hair from her eyes, "I can't help it, you're just so beautiful."
"You're not so bad yourself, Mr. Black."
"Why thank you, Mrs. Black."
The pair grin wider than the Cheshire Cat as they stare into each other's eyes. "I can't wait to tell-"
"You're not telling Jay," She interrupts and he pouts, "Not yet, at least."
"Why?"
"Because he'll tell everyone, and then my mother will complain, it'll spread, likely to be in the Daily Prophet seems as that new writer Skeeter can't get enough of the 'auror couples' and unwanted people will find out. Just wait a few months, please."
He smiles and nods placing a kiss on the end of her nose, "Anything for you, wife."
"Thank you, husband."

"Hey, Alex."
Annabelle takes up the seat beside her brother, it's a Tuesday today, every Tuesday since the attack she's visited her big brother at the hospital, Chris is usually there too but today he got stuck at the Ministry.
"Sirius and I, we got married last week," She says clutching the ring that is attached to the necklace Sirius had gotten for her a few years ago, "I wish you could've been there. I told him not to tell anyone, but, you're my big brother, I couldn't keep it from you. I've been hunting this Death Eater, Greyback they call him, no sign of him yet though, but I'll get him."
She leans back in the chair humming softly one of his favourite songs from their childhood that their father would sing.
But, as usual, Alex sits in his rocking chair, muttering things under his breath every so often as his eyes focus on the flower pot across the room.
She gets up from her spot in the arm chair and begins to tidy up the room, straightening photos and turning the many plant pots the right way, the more lively flowers in the front.
She sighs and sits back in her seat leaning forward she takes her brother's hand, "I promise you, I'll stop Voldemort, one way or another, we'll get him."
Sirius knocks his knuckles against the door as he walks in, she flashes a smile over her shoulder as he approaches and leans over the arm chair to rest his chin on top of her head.
"The meeting is in twenty minutes." He says softly into her ear.
She sighs and nods grabbing her coat and pulling it on over her cold arms. She links arms with him and the pair walk out of ST. Mungo's together.
