A FEW WEEKS HAD PASSED and ni-ki was still acting cold towards her.
the only thing chaewon didn't know was that he slept after knowing she did. if ni-ki found her asleep on the couch he would carry her to their room and tuck her in bed.
he would admire her whenever she wasn't watching him. he was struggling, he was struggling with his act. he would go from being nice and sweet to acting cold and ignoring her.
and in school? he would act like she doesn't exist.
this night however was different, instead of silence filling up the air in their condo.
screams and shouts were all you could hear.
"tangina naman riki! di kita na gegets! one day you'll be all sweet to me and the next you'll completely ignore me like we don't live together!" chaewon said her voice raising.
"well maybe because i don't actually like you! i never did. not once did i want to live in this hell hole with you! every minute you're always butting in and getting in my business, just leave me alone!" ni-ki said foul words spitting out of his mouth.
"w-what?..." chaewon knew he didn't like living with her but she didn't know that's how he actually felt.
"sa tingin mo magugustuhan kita noh? i'm so sick of us! i'm sick of you." ni-ki said instantly regretting what he just said.
chaewon was silent as tears started falling down her eyes staining her cheeks.
"chae..." ni-ki said his voice filled with worry his eyes softening as he walked closer to chaewon.
chaewon shook her head signaling ni-ki to not walk any closer.
"i think you're holding the heart of mine..." chaewon started.
then it hit ni-ki, chaewon liked him. he doesn't know why, he didn't know when. but she likes nishimura riki. despite him being rude to her. does she know that he tucks her in bed?... does he know that he admires her when she isn't watching?
"squeeze it apart that's fine." chaewon finished smiling at him sadly as tears fell from her eyes.
ni-ki's heart ached so bad. he knew that what he said was wrong.
"and i know you said that we're not a thing, but you're here, that's the thing." chaewon said as she wiped her tears. "you don't know how hard it is the fact that someone you like doesn't acknowledge your presence and you're already living together."
"i know you hate me, now it's all about to end. i'll move out. if that's what you want." chaewon said walking into their room but suddenly ni-ki grabbed her arm.
"don't, please." ni-ki pleaded as chaewon scoffed.
"ayan kana naman riki eh.. lagi nalang ganito tayo riki. hindi ko na kaya." chaewon said as more tears started falling down her cheeks.
ni-ki felt like crying seeing how much he hurt the girl.
"tutulog na ako." chaewon said as she pulled her arm away from ni-ki and walked in their bedroom.
