A MASQUERADE BALL was held to celebrate the two teenagers getting together, but most importantly of course, the two companies.
natural na ayaw mafall ni ni-ki kay chaewon, lalo na tumaya siya kay jungwon na hindi niya magugustuhan si chaewon. pero sa totoo, he'd always admire chaewon from afar. he didn't want to admit it but he's been overthinking why she said yes and why she agreed, not only did she agree but she agreed without thinking twice. did she like him? or did she only care about the company?
thoughts like this ran through ni-ki's mind as he got ready for the ball that was held for the two (mostly for the company) but he knew that and understood.
"ni-ki!" his mother called him from his room to see if he's ready as the guests are coming soon.
ni-ki went downstairs and his mother smiled upon seeing her son.
"pogi naman ng anak ko, manang mana saken e." his mother said smiling at him.
ni-ki smiled back upon hearing his mother say that.
"syempre di ako magpapatalo." a voice said from behind them making the two look back to see ni-ki's father.
the three laughed happily before ni-ki's father spoke.
"nak, i want you to be next to chaewon all the time this night."
"what?! but—"
"i know you don't want to, but in order for them to believe that you two are together you need to be around her a lot."
ni-ki's father understood that this is hard for ni-ki but all he hopes is that ni-ki understands his situation aswell. (ni-ki's father would never want to admit this but he secretly ships the two and hopes that they would catch feelings for each other.)
MEANWHILE AT THE YANG HOUSE...
the same thoughts ran through chaewon's head. she asked herself if she liked ni-ki and if ni-ki liked her. she wasn't sure of her feelings since she had just met the boy after hearing a lot about him from her brother jungwon. but most importantly she's unsure of ni-ki's feelings. the fact that at first he sounded so disgusted by the fact that he needed to fake date someone more so forced to date someone. she could tell from his tone and the way he battled almost immediately once his parents said it.
