Chapter 7

While Izzy took me to her bedroom, she explained to me about Clary and that Jace went to find her and bring her back to get answers as well. She lended some of her clothes for me to wear, which were quite... revealing, a tight leather black pants and fitted black crop top. I like Izzy's style, it suits her, and i envy a little the way she's confident with her body. She encouraged me about wearing the clothes, so here i am, dressed in a way i never thought i would, but i have to admit, i'm feeling pretty badass. Although, i couldn't wear the high boots she gave me, but thank god my black chuck taylor all star was intact even after the Squidwards attack, so i had to wear it, and i'm glad i did, they're really comfortable.

After i get dressed, i asked Izzy about my phone, which she gave me, but explained that it was broken, probably because of the falls I suffered during the attack. I internally sighed, this was expensive. Thank you, Squidwards. I'll have to ask to borrow Izzy's phone later so I can call Steph, she must be worried, but first I need to figure out what I'm going to say to her.

Izzy and I talked for a while, she explained more stuffs to me, especially how she thinks i'm a shadowhunters just like them, because the seraph blade lited up when i touched it. She also, explained to me what they were doing at Pandemonium, and more about the demons. I'll probably have to write down all the information she gave me, so I don't forget.

After our talk, she led me to what they call Ops Center, which is a room full of tech gear, such as tvs, computers, and some stuffs that i don't know the name. We found Jace and Alec talking, more like arguing. And that's where i'm now, in front of both.

"Jace, this is Aster." Izzy introduces me, catching the boys attention. "I'm going to see how the other girl is" She tells us, and turn to leave the room.

"Hi, i'm Jace Wayland." He says, extending his right hand to me, with a charming smile. I shake his hand, and smile back, friendly. "I'm Aster Hope, but apparently you guys already knew that" I say jokingly, sending Alec a side eye. He chuckles, but Alec only smirks playfully at my statement.

"By the way, how is Clary?" I ask Jace, concerned. Alec changes his expression to an annoyed one, and scoffs. Jace sends him a bombastic side eye, sighing irritated, but answers my question. "She's fine, she was attacked by a demon in her apartment, but i got there in time, so no harm was made to her. Well, except for the demon bite, but i healed her, so she is alright." He emphasizes the word healed, looking into Alec's direction.

"There's something wrong about all of this." Alec states, glancing to Jace with a serious look.

"I'm sure there is, but we will find out what" Jace says certainly, starting to walk out of the room. Alec sighs, and starts to chase after him, arguing about Clary, leaving me behind, i blink and then storm after them.

We walk into the infirmary room, Alec still arguing with Jace "A mundane shouldn't even be here" he says disapproving, while making his way around Clary's bed, where she's sitting with Izzy. I stand in the other side of the bed. Clary sends me a quizzical look, and i lift my shoulders in a half shrug, shaking my head and sending a confused look back.

"Where is here, exactly?" Clary asks them, with furrow brows.

"She's not a mundane, Alec." Jace states, with a frustrated sigh.

"How do you know that?" Ocean eyes inquires, unconvinced, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Because the seraph blade lit up when she touched it," Jace replies irritated with a rigid expression, and gives a another but pronounced sigh "Look, Isabelle, can you..." He turns to Izzy, motioning for her to let him sit. She gets up from the bed, and Jace takes her place, sighing annoyed. Izzy goes sit in a close chair in front of the bed.
