Not Always Good Memories

      CC's been gone for the month and few weeks I was in the hospital. Jorn kept tabs on the missing cases for me, I was meant to keep investigating the cases myself but since I ended up in the hospital on the first few days of looking for the people I got assigned new cases.
     Do you remember those girls on the TV when I and CC fought? Yep, I got their cases. Thankfully I was granted 'work from home' for a week until I get better.

     Besides the new murder cases I have been dealing with I also have been looking into CC more... Not in a weird way but in a research way. CC is the Cartoon Cat after all, but there is barely any information on him, which is expected... You don't come across a monstrous cat being and end up surviving to tell the tale. Unless you're me.

     But even though I have indeed survived and friended (for the most bit) CC, I barely know anything about him! It's totally unfair. Hmm, maybe I should ask him about himself if he ever gets back.
     Life has been pretty steady, I guess, since CC disappeared off the face of the Earth. I finally got reunited with D/n who was more than happy to see me again... By which I mean almost sending me to the hospital again with a body slam. Made with love of course. Oh geez, I guess I just realized that cats hate dogs...how am I gonna introduce CC to D/n without one almost having a heart attack?! Uhh, I'll think about it later.

     D/n slept soundly on the cushions that were located on the floor near my desk. My study was fixed by Jorn which I thanked for. It's been a ride after the incident that happened 10 years back, Jorn was 40 or so, and I was 15. Dad lost Mom, and Dad placed all his anger on me.
     He would yell, threaten, and sometimes kick me out of the house for a while until he got lonely and dragged me back. I would see him bring home new women every week, if I asked why he would brush off the occurrence like I was a crazy person.

     Dad, at the moment, is serving a 14-year sentence for third-degree attempted murder. He, trying to kill me. He was so drunk that he tried to kill me with a broken beer bottle.

     I...uh, almost died.

     Multiple hits to the abdomen, thankfully no vital organs were hit, and I survived with horrible scarring on my stomach and chest area. But...it's no big deal I guess, he's getting what he deserves and I don't visit. ( Serves him right.)

   The scars are ugly, but they aren't irritable anymore. Sure, it makes me a little bit self-conscious about my body but hey! Who doesn't have flaws? Right? Right... haha...

     D/n shuffles in his sleep which snap me out of my trip down memory lane.

     "Right, work," I mumble while facing my computer again, pictures of the bodies were scattered on my desk along with pages and pages of minimal evidence. Whoever this killer is... Does get my applause. Honestly, I didn't think it wouldn't be CC. He said he wouldn't ever kill someone by hitting and cutting with a knife, so who could it be?

     The evidence says that it was a blunt heavy object like a bat or a pipe was used to make those bumps and bruises.

*BEEP BEEP*

     I look to my phone to see that Jorn sent me a video that one of the girls, Lisa, recorded during her murder.

~~~~
     "Mouriese, Jenna, look! Say cheese~" The girl recording, Lisa, says. Surprisingly I could hear her over the loud and obnoxious music. The two girls giggle and pose for the recording camera, I honestly thought everything was normal until I see a figure behind the two girls that Lisa was recording.
     Jennifer screamed as she was getting her head bashed in with two fists. I was honestly surprised that they weren't using a larger blunter object like the ones I spoke about before. The perp punched and attacked Jennifer with a knife and with their fists, the camera shook as Lisa and Mouriese ran away, Lisa cried and Mouriese was yelling "RUN, GO, GO, GO!" I could also barely hear more screams of anguish coming from Jennifer in the back.
