"Attention all passengers, we will be reaching our destination shortly. At this time, please make sure all of your belongings are with you and you are seated. Good day and enjoy the rest of your ride."
The man on the intercom ended his speech. I was awake for a couple of minutes now playing pac-man on my gameboy. Lila and Sharanya were also awake chatting for a bit. Shruthika was still asleep though. I looked out the window, we were officially in Nottingham, just some time until we got to the station. Soon, I noticed that Shruthika had began to wake up. She got settled and greeted me.
"Hey Sragvi!!" She said enthusiastically. "Hello." I responded back. "Hey Shruthika!!" Sharanya said. "Hey!" She responded. We all than chatted for a bit before hearing the intercom again.
"We have arrived at Nottingham, England." The man said. He also stated the weather, stated the nearest food stalls, and other type of crap they would usually say. Most people were getting up, and getting there luggage. After the man finished speaking we all got up to get our belongings. "We should all stay as a group, than it would be easier for us." I stated. "I believe there are a few people who also go to university here." Shruthika said. "Oh than we can maybe find them around the station." Lila said. We all got off the train we decided to sit on a few benches for a bit.
~ Tekalene POV
We were all getting off the train, when we were met with 2 other men. "IM SO SORRY!!!" One of them, balding stated. They were more so talking to Varshith. "WATCH YOUR WAY!!" The bald man said, making eye contact with me. "Sorry about him." The other man said. "NAW DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT LAD" Ashfaaq said. "I see you also go to Nottingham University??" Ashfaaq said welcomely. "Yes I do. The names Sacheth" He said, offering a handshake. Ashfaaq happily accepted. We all talked for a bit, while Varunav and Taj were getting water for all of us.
As Taj and Varunav were getting our water, we continued to talk. "Dude this Taj dude seems weird." I said. "This Taj guy seems like a simp." Varshith said. "EXACTLY!!! ESPECIALLY FOR YOU VARSHITH!" I exclaimed. We were all talking until a girl came running to Varshith.
~ Varshith POV
"VARSHITH!!!!!!!!" She yelled in excitement to me. She ran to me and hugged me. "Oh, hello Shruthika." I said, with a brief smile. A few other girls were walking behind her. "HEY SHRUTHIKA!!" A girl came panting. "WHY DID YOU MAKE US RUN ALL THE WAY HERE!!??" A girl with a raccoon on her head stated??... How did she even get past the security lines? I wondered. "This is Varshith!!" Shruthika said letting go of me. The other girls waved at me. I waved back. "This is Sharanya, Sragvi, and Lila." Shruthika said. They all looked to be around my age, maybe a few months younger. "This is Sacheth, Tekalene, Ashfaaq and there also Varunav and Taj, but they are getting water for us all." Ashfaaq was calling Varunav to tell him to bring more water.
Time Skip~~~
~ Shruthika POV
Taj and Varunav came back with the water. They gave it to all of us and introduced themselves.
We were all talking about how to get to the university. "We can take a bus there." Sacheth stated. "Good Idea." Ashfaaq responded. We were all talking about the seats and who should sit where. They all decided that me and Varshith should get the bus tickets. So off we went.
It was silent until we got to the escalator. I had "personal trauma" with them. When I was 3 years old, my parents took me to a mall. While we were going up the escalator, my mum tripped and fell down and broke arm. I was shaking a little. Im an adult now. "Your an adult now, you can't be scared of every damn thing." I heard a voice behind me say. I turned around and saw normal people at the station minding their business. "Shruthika? Are you okay?" Varshith asked. "Oh me?? Pfft, I'm doing amazing!! Hey are you sure we have to take the escalator up??" I asked nervously. "Huh? Oh yes, if we need to get to the second floor, we either have to take the escalator or the elevator." Varshith glanced at the elevator. There was many old people their waiting. "The elevator has people who probably need it more than us." "Varshith is right. There is people who can't even walk, and look at you, a perfectly healthy young child. Deal with it Shruthika." She heard the voice again. Was someone pranking her? Or could it be that she didn't get enough sleep? Probably the second option.
Sleeping on the train was hard, with the hard as rock wooden benches and the very little room. "Your being greedy." It was clearly a voice, though it didn't sound human. It sounded muffled and high pitched. I was brought back to reality when Varshith spoke. "SHRUTHIKA??" "Huh? Varshith? Is everything alright?" I asked, trying to keep calm. "Good your alive. Lets get going." He said, grabbing my arm and walking towards the escalator. "AH WAIT!!" I yelled. He stopped in shock. "What?" He said dryly. It was clear that he was annoyed. "I'm sorry, I just don't want to go on the stairs." "What." "Are you scared?" Varshith sighed. "I'll hold your hand.. if that will make you stop whining." "Really?" "THANK YOU!!!" We went up the escalator with no problems. Varshith sanitized his hands right after.
~ Varshith POV
We got off the escalator and I quickly sanitized my hands. It wasn't like I didn't like her or anything, but I didn't want to seem like a pervert, not washing my hands whenever a women touched me.
