ep. 9 : "looking for star.."

Hana's point of view.
Another day, another day in practice. Sometimes I think of backing out but I remember that my grades depend on this performance.

I mean even if we don't win, it won't matter to me. All I want is good grades and with good grades, I'll be satisfied.

'Cause can you even imagine waking up really early just to attend dance practices and then go home to have a quick shower and then go to school at 1pm and arrive at home by 7pm, eating dinner then your doing homework before going to sleep. And the cycle repeats itself and much worse than that is the exams.

Preliminary exams exist in our school if you think it doesn't. We have to attend practice in the morning and we don't have time to even review our lessons so we go to school with 30% of the lessons we learned from the discussions.

And I hate Math, our teacher isn't that good in teaching Math. Why do we even study Math. We've already learned the basic counting of numbers and we can compute, we know how to add, multiply, divide and decrease now what do we have to do with computing angles ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

Anyways, we're here in our dance studio again, practicing for our performance on Thursday. If you're curious on what day it is today, it's Tuesday. Yes, performance day is near. In fact, the performance will be on Thursday.

I'm worried about the performance. But whenever I see Mingi and his smiles, I feel less worried. He's a fast learner and is a good dancer too. He's just not good at listening. Every time our leader tells him something like 'stop laughing while dancing, you're affecting the others!', he doesn't listen and do whatever he wants. He listens only to Areum but if it's Hanbyeol who we're talking about in here, he will never. ever. listen.

It's because Hanbyeol did nothing but despise him. Hanbyeol had never said anything good about Mingu except that he's good at volleyball. Yes, this dude's hella good in volleyball.

She always tell Mingi how annoying he is and how stupid he looks all the time. Even Areum does but... Mingi is too deaf to hear that because he likes Areum, that's for sure.

That's why I prevented him from going because Areum, Hanbyeol, Sihyeon and Sarang were there. I know what those girls say about Mingi and I don't want Mingi to hear it personally from them. I also don't know if I should tell him already.

...

"I'm taller than you..." And here goes Mingi walking around the whole place, telling all the girls that he's taller than them.

"I'm taller than you." Mingi said to Aerin as Aerin looked at him emotionless before muttering a small 'okay'.

But I panicked when walking close to me. Well, it's not like he's gonna do something to me like what happens in fictions and dramas but I just don't feel like I can be this close to him.

He stood in front of me, looking on top of my head before smiling.

"I'm taller than you~" he said. I was flustered by that. So, I looked away. "O-Of course, you are..! You're a guy!" I exclaimed, trying to play it cool but I saw how Aerin and Ryujin looked at me with those teasing eyes, I glared at them.

He giggled.

"Tsk, I'm taller than all of you..." He said, shaking his head while smirking before walking back to his male friends. I scoffed.

I could feel the light sparks in my stomach slowly fading as I looked at him walk away. Gosh, he is so cute.

"Oh thank goodness, he left.." I thought.

I really didn't want to be that close to him because I know I will explode if I was that close but thankfully, he left immediately.

"Hey guys, the Mayor just announced that there are no classes..." Areum said when our practice ended.

"Oh thank goodness!"

"Yes! No exams!!!"

"Yes! Rest!"

"I can finally rest and sleep..."

All of them said just the same things and here's me who's worried about missing out classes. I get worried, okay? We're supposed to have exams today but there are no classes so, the exams might get extended.

"because of a typhoon." Areum added. We all looked outside, worriedly and saw the dark clouds. "We should all get going, I think it's about to rain. Those who wants to come to my house and help with the props are allowed to come." Areum said.

Soon, it started raining but it was very light. Most of us had left already while I walk home with Juhyeok and Dayeon since we live in the same village.

"Hana noona, are you gonna come make the props?" Oh yeah I forgot to tell you, I'm older than most of my classmates, me and Chaemin are both born 2 years older than the rest of them so most of them call us 'noona' and 'eonnie' (older female/older sister)

"Hmm... I guess. Do you guys need help?" I asked Juhyeok as he nodded. "Areum said, many props were damaged during the rehearsal awhile ago.. so we'll have to repare them all so yeah, we need help." Juhyeok replied so I nodded.

"Sure, I'll help as much as I can..." I said, monotonously.
