[ A/N : This story is an fast paced revenge romance. There is also an age-gap between the two main characters, don't like that? Then this story isn't for you, and that's okay. Everything such as mature audience—smut warning, violence, etc, will have a warning before the chapter starts. I always like to give my readers a warning on things before the chapter starts so they know what they're walking into. Enjoy. ]

August 13th.

It's been over a half hour of patiently waiting for my boyfriend—Lucas to come home.

He doesn't know I'm here.

I'm hidden in his closet with a birthday cake slightly trembling in my hands. An hour ago I received a text message that he had left work for the day.

After receiving that text message I dropped everything I was doing and rushed to the bakery to pick up a cake I had placed a special order for.

Now, thirty minutes have passed and I'm standing here in his closet feeling like a complete fool in the dark, with the only light shining through the bedroom window.

Right when I'm about to lose all hope and leave the cake downstairs in the fridge with a note the bedroom door creaks open.

I let out a light sigh and smiled in relief. It took him long enough, my feet had begun to ache from standing for so long.

"Don't be so loud, my neighbors are sleeping." At first I paused, thinking Lucas was on the phone with one of his friends until I heard the sounds of a second pair of footsteps, following my boyfriend into the bedroom.

"Well, don't do anything that would cause me to be so loud." A soft, feminine voice replies, leaving me in complete disbelief and dumbstruck.

A woman is in Lucas's apartment, a woman with a soft, familiar voice I couldn't place my fingers on.

I adjust the cake in my hand and push the closet door open slightly to take a peek at who Lucas is talking to.

My hand trembles, almost losing complete control of  the cake in my hand at the sight in front of me. The sight I wasn't prepared for.

Juliet—my older sister—the drug addict, who appeared and disappeared frequently, leaving our parents in constant worry was laying down, getting comfortable in Lucas's bed as if she had done it a million times.

That wasn't the worst part. Lucas undressed and laid down on the bed next to her and pulled her body closer until her head was resting against his chest.

My body vibrates with anger, yet I was calm at the same time and unmoving. Were they lovers? From the looks of it they were, for how long who knows.

How they knew each other was a mystery to me.

I took a deep breath to calm myself and not allow myself to lose sight of who I was. I just wanted to go home and forget this day ever happened and block them both out of my life.

"I love you." I snapped and pushed the closet door open with the cake in my hand.

Lucas jumps up from the bed with wide eyes, Juliet looked in complete dazed—maybe she was high off something, I wouldn't be surprised if she was.

"Eleanor it's not-" I didn't allow him to finish, I knew the next thing that would come out of his mouth would be a bunch of lies filled with bullishit.

I walked over to the bed and pushed the cake into his face. Juliet gasps—snapping out of the drugged state she was in and tries to help him wipe the cake off.

I picked up the bits of cake dropping from Lucas's shocked face and smeared it in my sister's face.

She let out a high pitched scream trying to wipe the cake off of her face. It didn't work, in fact she was just spreading blue frosting all over her face.

I pulled out my phone and opened up the camera. "Say cheese." I snapped a photo of them.

"Happy birthday and enjoy the cake." I smile and turn to walk out the door with both of them calling out my name.
