In the cell dabi laid there in the chair tied up with canceling quirks and heat resistance chains, the doctors circled around dabi trying to find any living body inside the flames so they can test his DNA as they did on kurogiri which turned out to be  Oboro Shirakumo,  when they found out the truth about kurogiri they thought that the body inside dabi must be alive as oboro,
Days passed as they still tried then they come with an idea a heat resistance needle or any type of heat resistance to just try and scar the inside body, soon enough they put on experiments only to feel as if there was some kind of capsule which protected the body inside the fire, they later thought what if dabi overheated will the capsule be affected, the question was how will they overheat dabi's body then they found that there was a new training hero who has controlling quirk, they asked for Hitoshi Shinso only to be surprised as aizawa and hawks withe boy but the already wanted aizawa so it was accepted.
Shinso entered to see dabi's figure looking at him with no life at all, shinso shivered but he straightened up and decided to talk to the creature so he can control him.
" hello dabi" shino said hoping for any answer dabi looked at him deep into his soul dabi know what was shinso's quirk so he never answered even though tried to, but deep inside dabi a boy screamed into his head his screams was so loud that it caused dabi to close his eyes which surprised everyone as in the last days they never saw that, touya screamed inside dabi to be released it wasn't unusual for touya to scream out everyday in his own mind touya never gave up not once since they took his body he tried everyday to get free. But this day  when he saw shinso he felt that he will be freed soon so he screamed out loud, screamed enough to make dabi answer shinso.
Shinso smiled as finally after 2 hours he can control that creature they were in a full heat resistance cell and shinso was inside another heat resistance small cell so he can command dabi to burn himself.
The door opened then guards entered the cell to remove dabi's chains, before dabi could hurt anyone "stop don't move" shinso said as he started, the guards got out quickly and nodded to shinso as he locked the other cell he looked at dabi then said
" burn yourself with your strongest heat " and dabi did just that blue flames was out the heat was enormous and by each minute the degree increased shinso was afraid that the cell won't take the heat any longer that's when aizawa played his role after few minutes they saw dabi's heat slightly decreased aizawa entered with a heat resistance suit and he activated his quirk, they checked around the room if they waited for few more minutes the cell would be burned down, shinso got out of the cell and smiled at his father soon enough another set of guards entered to move dabi into other cell "there is a hand" a guard screamed causing everyone to look at him there was an actual hand sticking out of dabi the fire was faded around it, the hand was burnt, they quickly took in action in minutes dabi was chained and moved to another room then they took sample of his hands.
"So that's it in few days we will found out the truth about that creature" hawks said " yeah in day or two we will found out hopefully that his DNA in the system " the doctor replied soon hawks, aizawa and shinso got out so they can move on to their as they hoped that they won't come here again but fate was cruel.
The burnt hand was treated and surprisingly it was still there so they tried to put anything so it can separate the fire from reaching the hand, but they were even more surprised as the hands twitched at first then later the hand signed words they didn't understand sat first hut then they got paper so he can write anything ' h, e, l, p, ,k, e, i, g, o, ,t, a, k, a, m, i'
The hand writing was hard but they understood when they searched for the name they found he was dead which was weird so they went to dabi's body again.
"Who is keigo takami we couldn't find him in the system dabi could you tell us your name or someone known to us"  They put the paper again in front of him again 'n, a, m, e,, t, o, d, o, r, o, k, i,,t,o,u,y,a,,h, e, l, p'
With that name to say they were surprised with that name todoroki as todoroki enji  was dabi related to enji they had to be sure so they asked the lab to quicken their DNA test so the lab decided to check on the mitochondria which could tell them dabi's mother faster than the DNA test, as known that endeavor's wife was in mental hospital so they requested todoroki rei's data to figure everything out and the sample was a match dabi was in fact rei's son,
The doctor send the news to the detective which shown that touya was in fact endeavor's son but dies when he was 14 of fire accident the fire was so big that they couldn't find any remains so the detectives wanted to call endeavor after they found the truth but they hesitated as they wanted to be full sure so they called the next person who they thought would help them which would be hawks as it was common knowledge that back then hawks and endeavor's son were soulmates.
Hawks received a call so he answered
"Pro hero hawks at your service" hawks answered "pro hero hawks you are needed at Xxx about dabi's identity we are close to it and we think that you are related to dabi" hawks was silent for few seconds, dabi was related to him how??
"Wait i thought the DNA test takes few days" hawks asked
"It does but it seems dabi's hand wrote few names as keigo takami and other name which when we searched we found out he was known to you and we tested his mitochondria and it tasted positive we need you to bring anything which contains your ex soulmate's DNA so we can confirm our suspicious"
Wait they need touya's thing why, how does dabi know his real name, does that means that " dabi is touya what do you mean he died in fire years ago " hawks screamed at the phone startling the person beside him beside him which was shoto, he looked at hawks in surprise whispering touya and looking at hawks " yes we suspect that dabi is touya and the mitochondria test was positive that dabi was in fact todoroki rei's son so we need you at xxx with anything that could contain touya's DNA we need to be sure " the call suddenly ended hawks dropped the phone touya was alive all that time and he was dabi but they found out kurogiri was being controlled after afo did a lot of experiments on him did that mean touya was, oh god all that times he was alive and no one saved him, hawks was cut from his thoughts as shoto shock the heck out of him " what's going on, what's this call about touya being alive" shoto screamed breaking his cold face touya was sensitive subject to the todorokis especially because he was like the father that his siblings never had.
"They said they tested dabi and it was positive that he was rei's son so they want to be double sure so they need anything that was touya's" hawks said in daze and looked at shoto who has wide eyes "t- that means - that t-hat touya was dabi j- just like kurogiri oh god what did they do to nee-san"
Both heroes had tears in their eyes as the can't believe the news that was passed to them, after few minutes hawks made a call to excuse himself from the night shift, so shoto called his teacher also and told him there was an emergency.
Both of them headed to hawk's house to find anything that still had touya's DNA.
