I wake up to someone pounding on my door I check my doorbell camera and see Gracie smiling right in the camera "taking a picture of that for later" I laugh to myself as I take the photo then I rush to brush my teeth and walk up to the door Gracie clings onto me almost immediately "you just woke up?" I nod being too tired to say anything "wanna do anything today?" she asks me as she follows me into my bathroom as I finish brushing my teeth "yeah sure what do you have in mind" I walk out she stops me she gets really close I feel her hair on my shoulder her finger comes up to my face brushing my lip I look everywhere but her eyes she was very good at making me nervous "you had toothpaste on the side of your lip" she laughs and I scoff "wow and here I thought you were just trying to kiss me" now we're close, very close "I was getting there" the second after she says this her lips crash onto mine her hands slowly inching down my body I wasn't complaining she pulls us apart gasping for breath "so what should we do today?" I stare at her in shock "give me a second I just woke then you kiss me like that, I need to process it" she laughs into my neck "that was just me saying hi" she lays down on my bed "I could get used to you saying hi like this" I join her and sit on my bed

"what did you have in mind for today grace?"

"what do you want to do?"

"we can't both be indecisive one of us has to choose"

"and I choose that you will choose what we do for today" She lets out a big breath and pulls me closer to her "why don't we just walk around and see if we find something along the way" I kiss her forehead "sounds great let me get ready I won't be long" when I try to get up she pulls me back onto the bed "Gracie let me go" I talk in between are laughter "fine" she mumbles and lets me go, the warmness was gone I did just want to go back into the bed and be immersed by Gracie but we had plans, I get ready quickly and we leave to walk the wonderful busy streets of New York.

we're now sitting on a bench at a park Gracie's arm intertwined with mine a dog runs up to us Gracie reaches out to the dog "oh hey buddy wow you have a lot of energy" who I'm assuming was the owner walks over she smiles "yeah she's like a million energy drinks in one, you can pet her if you guys want" I laugh bending down to pet the dog "she's cute what's her name" I ask "her names Rosie" the older lady states I laugh "that's my best friends name" the dog scratches at my knee wanting to get belly rubs "you two are a cute couple" taking us by surprise we stay in silence for a second before Gracie speaks up "thank you" when Gracie says this she looks over at me with a smile "oh thanks" neither of us say anything else, our cheeks both beet red "have a good day" she waves at us "bye" Gracie and I say in unison, and we speak nothing else about the lady calling us a couple.

we continue our walk Gracie looks around she jumps and gets excited she looks at me with big eyes "have you ever been to cornelia street before"

"like the Taylor swift song no I haven't why" she looks around again

"because it's a couple streets over, you down to go?"

"duh" we speed walk for a couple minutes and there it was Cornelia street to other people this is just another street but to swifties this is a BIG deal "there it is, oh and there is a cute café down here call the Cornelia street café we have to go" we lock arms again walking to our destination "oh yes we have to" I mock her as she drags me down to the street sign, we take a few photos after this something changes in Gracie I saw it, something was wrong she wasn't acting how she usually does "hey you okay?" I put my hand on her shoulder she touches my hand and holds it "can we just go back to your place I'm feeling a little tired" she weakly smiles at me
"yeah sure lets go, do you wanna stay or?" she walks Infront of me now I catch up with her "I'll just drive back to my apartment" we stay in silence the rest of the walk home Gracie kisses my cheek before getting in her car and driving off.
