It felt weird… getting compliments from an old man who now looked like a teenager.

I, Asta, Nero, Noelle, and Mimosa stood before the Wizard King. Our Captain, Yami also stood with us.

“The battle has ended and now we can live happily ever after” He said to us as I rolled my eyes.

“Right sir… this isn’t some fairytale story”

“Quite true Reyana, which is why I must trouble you guys and say, you guys have more challenges to face”

“Of course we do”

“Rey… you’re a bit… grumpy today”

“Am I Mimosa? Well, I apologize but I lost a lot of friends last night and also received some news which just makes me-”

“Rey, come here” Asta said as he brought me into his arms.  I sighed and wrapped my tails around him, calming down.

“Right… I’ll get into the main topic. Right now, we have three problems” The wizard king announced as we turned our attention to him.

“The first problem… the wizard king is gone”

“He’s standing right here, that’s you remember?” Captain Yami spoke out as the others yelled out in shock.

“Wait, you guys didn’t know?” I asked as they shook their heads frantically.

I shrugged “Well you know now”

“Most of my magic is also gone”

“Ok… now that’s a problem” I said to him feeling a bit of déjà vu.

“This means I won’t be able to fight and I also won’t have influence on the nobles who plan to use their wealth and power against those who don’t”

“Wait, how are you small and why are you still alive?!” Asta asked rather impolite. But it was something I thought about as well.

The wizard king’s power was time but yet…

“During my journey, I found a magic storage technology left behind by ancient mages. According to some documents I found in the royal library, it’s called Swallowtail.”

Beside me, Nero gasped and I figured she had some clue about what he was saying.

“My time magic and the swallowtail were very compactable. So I stored my magic and time into the emblem on my forehead, little by little. Time that would allow me to start over in case something happened to me. But as you can see, I couldn’t start over immediately and only reached up to this age. Guess things don’t always go as planned”

The wizard king finished explaining with a smile.

I too smiled “This is exactly why you are the wizard king”

“You’re insane, having a redo in your life” Captain Yami muttered.

“I’m so glad you’re alive wizard king!” Asta shouted making Noelle step back.

“Thank you, Asta, I’m glad you’re all well too. As for our guest that I don’t know…”

The wizard king immediately appeared beside Nero “What type of magic do you use?! I can tell it must be something unique!”

“He hasn’t changed at all”

“Not one bit”

“Oi, hurry up with the explanation. We need to take care of the kingdom after”
