'So. As you all know, today is the Sports Festival.' Your homeroom teacher explains, earning minor chatter from the class. You and Hitoshi sigh at the same time, you always hated the Sports Festival as you knew that it would have to happen to you someday and you definitely know your father would be watching.

Your class arrives at the stadium where the festival was held, you nervously look around and didn't notice that Hitoshi was watching you. You and the students enter the main area and the crowd begins to cheer loudly, and the other classes arrive at the same time. Midnight steps onto the stage with the microphone and explains shit to which you don't listen until she calls up Bakugo. Hm, this'll be interesting. 

'I just wanted to say.' He says plainly into the microphone before becoming silent, keeping everyone on their toes. 'That I'm gonna win.' Everybody erupts and yells while you chuckle and shake your head with amusement. 

'Alright, now get to the start line!'

God, I am not ready for this-

'Hey, you okay?' Your best friend asks as he gets your attention, you shrug your shoulders slightly. 

'I guess. You?' He shrugs in response before offering a smile. 

'Eh. Are we gonna work together as we planned on the bus?' You chuckle at his response.

'I mean, I'll help you as long as you need my help.' He nods and you two get in your starting position. 

'Attention... GO!' All of the first years sprint down the course, you light your hand up and Hitoshi quickly gets in front of you as you block the path for most of the students, have fun trying to get through those extremely hot flames. 

'L/n!' Hitoshi yells as he points as Todoroki freezes the machines and they start falling, he grabs your hand and you two dodge the large falling parts of the machinery. 

'Thanks.' You huff as you two let go and keep running, you see the three musketeers in front of you battling for first place. 'Shit...' You mumble as your approach the canyon and you two skid to a stop. 

'Y/n, I have an idea.' He says, looking at you and you meet his eyes. 'What if I get on your back and you use your flames to fly us across?' You nod and Hitoshi gets on your back and hangs on tightly, you sprint and you two fly over the canyon and stumble on the landing but keep going. Your eyes widen as you approach a minefield, and you and Shinso make eye contact. 

'Hold on.' You order and he jumps onto your back as you leap into the air and fly across the minefield with your flames. 'If you want to stop them, you gotta use your quirk on them.' You grunt as you land, and your best friend nods and inhales deeply. 

'OI! YOU IDIOTS!' He shouts, getting all three of their attention. 

'WHAT?' They subconsciously answer all at the same time but then they stop moving as Hitoshi's quirk activated, you and Shinso share a smirk before speeding past them. God, so close! Shinso hisses in pain as he gets a headache, you look back and see the three Class 1-A students trying to catch up, your jaw tightens and you throw some flames at them, you hear them yell in annoyance and you smirk. You and Hitoshi have a tight race as he barely gets in front of you when you two crossed the line, the crowd erupts in cheers and you two pant, you make eye contact and you two chuckle as you fist bump. The other students finally arrive and flop on the ground. 

'MINDWIPE!' Bakugo's loud voice echoes as he storms over, your hand sets on fire and Bakugo's gaze falls on you. He scoffs and leaves and you stop using your quirk, Shinso thanks you and you hear Midnight go onto the stage and clear her throat.
