You had zoned out while Deku was mumbling away on a plan, and Uraraka seems to be interested in what he was saying and was watching him with slight awe. 

'Does he do this all the time?' You ask Pinky quietly and she nods. 

'It's getting more and more frequent, one day he'll just be mumbling stuff for 24 hours.' You nod in agreement and your hair alights in annoyance as you could feel Mineta about to touch you from behind, he flinches and rushes to Deku with fear. 

'Oi, Freckles.' You say and Deku stops mumbling and looks at you. 'You gonna tell us the plan or just think for the whole battle?'

'R-Right, sorry.' He explains the plan to your team and once he was finished, you all nod in agreement. 'L/n, I think Phantom Theif will be after you first because of your quirk or, no offence, the amount of experience you and Shinso have on the battlefield.'

'None. Taken.' You grumble through gritted teeth and a small droplet of sweat slides down the side of his face, your hair grows hotter and continues burning. 

'I know you can defend yourself, shown in the second battle, so do you think you can play as bait?' You sigh and pinch the bridge of your nose, your hair returns to normal and look Deku dead in the eyes. 

'Yeah, sure.' You growl and he smiles. 

'Great! We'll be in hiding but around to capture them but if you need help, we'll be there.' You nod. 'Let's get into position.'

You stroll into an open area purposely and look around. 

'So,' a voice says and you look in front of you and see Monoma strolling out from the shadows and approaching you. 'They've made you bait, how pathetic.'

'As if you could say anything.' You huff and he circles around you. 

'They're just using your experience against you.'

'And you're doing the same with Shinso.'

'Not as much as they're using you.'

'So you admit it.' He huffs as he furrows his brows, his hand shoots towards you and was about to touch you when you whip around and grab his forearm and his other arm and then pin him to the ground. He grins and you flinch as you feel one of his fingers touch you. 'How-'

'I have some flexibility, you know.' He chuckles but then sweeps your legs and then pins you to the ground. 'Now I have your quirk.' Flames appear in your hand and Monoma flinches and pulls his hands away, you were about to punch him with your flaming hand but then he catches it with a flaming hand of his own. You increase the heat and he pulls away and stops using your quirk and gets off you as he grabs his hand in pain. 'FUCK!' You chuckle and stand up to two flaming hands. 

'It's expected for someone who doesn't have a fire quirk to be burnt.' You say and raise your hand towards him. 'Careful, your clothes aren't fireproof.'

'L/n!' You hear Midoriya's voice say. 

'What-' You freeze as Shinso's quirk activated, Monoma laughs and approaches you as Shinso appears with a slightly guilty look. 

'Seems like the amount of experience you have on the field backfires!' He cackles and Shinso shoots him a glare, he turns to walk away but then hears fire crackling and he turns around. 

'Seems like you have too much confidence.' You say and shoot a cannon of white fire at him, they both barely dodge and sprints towards you except you create a large tall circular wall of fire around yourself to stop them. You sigh but then hear someone cough behind you, you quickly spin around and see Shinso standing up. 

'That was a close one.' He said under his breath and then looks at you. 'Y/n, we need to talk.'

'There is no talking that needs to be done.' You hiss, giving him a death glare. He takes a step towards you and you alight your hand, he flinches and stays where he was. 

'You've been avoiding me for a while now and it's starting to get on my nerve!' He says, tears beginning to form at the corner of his eyes. 'JUST TELL ME WHAT'S WRONG!'

'THERE'S NOTHING WRONG!' You shout and shoot flames full of emotions towards him, he dodges and sprints towards you. You two start throwing fists and kicks, he grabs your arm and then sweeps your feet and pins you to the ground. 

'Your hair's been fire constantly lit and your attitude's been more aggressive.'

'Oh really? I didn't notice.' You snap sarcastically and continue struggling, you release a huge amount of flames from your body and Shinso jumps back and winces at the few burns that he now has. You pin him to the ground with a heavy foot on his chest and he grabs your ankle and tries to get it off. 'If you must know, I overheard your conversation.' Hitoshi shows a confused look before realising what you meant. 

'It's not what it sounded like-'

'THEN EXPLAIN TO ME!' You yell, your eyes glowing white and your fire getting hotter. 

'Kamisashi was asking if I liked you in a romantic way.' Your eyes widen and you release the pressure of your foot off his chest, you groan softly and run your fingers through your fiery hair. 

'God, what am I doing?' You say and look up at the small patch of sky, your hair returned to normal and your eyes stopped glowing white. 

'And the thing is, I lied. I know he's got a crush on you so I said no so things wouldn't heat up and shit.' He says gently as he approaches you. 

'I need time... and space.' You say as he was about to touch you, and he nods as he pulls his hand back. 'But for now,' You say and in a flash, Shinso was tied up by his capture weapon on the ground. 'We need to do this.' Shinso blushes slightly as you pick him up bridal style and you use your quirk to get out of your wall of flames. 

'All of Team B is captured! Please return to the main area.' Midnight says over the loudspeaker, you release Shinso from his binding cloth and neither of you talk while you walk back to the teachers. 'Alright, line up!' So everyone does. 

'L/n, Shinso, we couldn't see what happened in the wall of flames. Care to tell us?' Eraser asks and you two don't speak. 'Very well then. Shinso, well done on tricking your opponent into thinking that it was their teammate speaking, like in the first round. Perhaps we can work on strengthening it so even your friend can't break free.'

'Yes, sir.'

'L/n, good use of your quirk, both offensive and defensive. There are a few areas that need working on, but overall, not bad for a first time on the battlefield.' Midnight says and you two nod in thanks and remain silent as he assesses the rest of the students, they go back to their class group while you two stay there. 

'Sir, we understand that this was testing to see if we could transfer to the Hero Course, but we feel as though we could've done better and use our quirks more effectively-' Eraserhead's binding cloth wraps tightly around you both and squeezes the air out of you. 

'F-Fuck, that's tight.' You barely say under your breath as it tightens. 

'You two did an incredible job, especially for being on the field for the first time. Don't think so harshly of yourselves.' Aizawa says sternly. 

'Yes, Eraser.' You both say and he releases you, you two inhale deeply. 

'Let's head back.'
