TW: Angst
Today Nancy and Robin are supposed to go skating together, but Nancy feels like she can't do it. She already felt so tense and nervous around her when they watched the movie, she can't hang out with her. She just can't. She likes being around Robin, it's just too much. Nancy dosen't even understand why. So she grabs the phone and hopes Robin won't take it the wrong way.
„Hi" Nancy says. For some reason she is anxous about telling Robin she couldn't come. She would obviously lie but still, it felt like she was rejecting her. Even tough it was platonic. At least she hoped so. 'Of course it's platonic! You're two girls! What are you thinkig?' she thinks to herself. But was it platonic for Nancy? Her trail of thougts is interuptet by Robins voice. „Hey! What's up?" She asks. „I'm sorry but I can't hang out with you today, I... need to go to the doctor." Nancy promtly lies.
„Oh" Robin says, clearly disapointed. „Yeah, sorry." Nancy tries to console her. „Ok, so bye." Robin says, with still a hint of disapointment in her voice. „Yeah bye." Nancy answers. Then Robin hangs up.
Nancy just looks at the phone. Then puts it in back in the station. She sighs. „Everything ok?" Mike asks. Nancy jumps, a little frightened, not expecting Mike to stand there. „Oh, god, Mike you scared me! Yeah I'm fine." She says. „Sorry!", Mike responds with a little chuckle, „Are you sure? Dosen't seem like it." „Yeah, yeah! Really I'm fine!" Nancy says. „O..key." Mike says, clearly not buying it, but not wanting to bother her. He just walks off to his room.
Robin just wants to fucking cry. She thinks: 'I probably ruined it! She probably guessed that I like her, and now she thinks I'm disgusting!' She tears up but suppresses it. She can't cry right now. She wants to talk to someone, so she calls Steve.
„Hello?" Steve asks. „Hi, it's me." Robin says fighting the tears. But Steve notices the sadness in her Voice and asks: „Hey, what's wrong?" Robin thinks about how to put her feelings in words. „I-... I like Nancy but I'm pretty sure she dosen't like me back. And I think...I think she knows. And now she is probably disgusted by me." She says.
After a pause Steve speaks: „And what makes you think she knows that you like her, and that she is disgusted by you?" „Well, we hung out a few days back, and she seemed pretty tense and nervous, and we wanted to hang out today but she canceled, and her voice was tense again. Why would she be so uncomfortable around me other then that reason?" Robin starts ranting
„Why couldn't she come?" Steve asks. „She said she had a doctors apointment." Robin explains „And that's not a good reason?" Steve asks. „Well I think she lied." Robin says. Steve sighs. „Ok so, back to the whole 'tense around you' thing. Couldn't it be that she likes you back? Like you are nervous around your crushes. Mabey she is just nervous around you, because she has a crush on you." Steve suggests.
Robin stays silent for a moment, thinkig. „But like, isn't she straight? You dated!" Robin says. „Wasn't you the one saying you can like both? It's called bisexuell isn't it?" Steve says. „I mean, yeah I guess. But how do I know?" She asks. „Well you could tell her. We both know that Nancy would never out you or anything. So you could just tell her. " Robin knows he's right. She sighs. Suddenly she has an idea. „Yeah you're right. I think I know what to do. I'll keep you updated!" She then hangs up.

So I'm thinkig a kind of slow burn with the two so yeah.
