Before leaving I tucked her in and walked over to my personal doctor. "How is she?" "Mmm, I'm not sure," he mumbled as he was flipping through Seo-yeon's health records. "Well? What are those pills for?" I shook the pill jar that I had found on Seo-yeon after I found her passed out on the ground in front of her father's grave.
"Well," the doctor said as he took the jar of pills from me, "the only thing I can say for sure is that those pills are for some rare disease." He spun the jar in his hands before handing it back to me. "Well, I was able to tell this myself, but anything else?" I asked him as I took a look at the jar myself.
Caution: EXTREMELY POISONOUS, CONSUME ONLY WHEN THE SITUATION IS LIFE THREATENING.
How didn't I see this before? What does it contain?
"Well since there isn't anything written about this disease in her health records, I can only assume that it has something to do with breathing problems since she started breathing again as you gave her the pill. I can take a sample with me to the lab to see what it is," the doctor said and walked over to Seo-yeon to check the monitors that were connected to her.
"I would like to say that it's not needed, but these pills seem weird and if anything happens to her because of those pills, it'll be my fault. So yes, get them checked for me please." "As you wish," he said and I gave him the pills so he could take a sample with him to the lab.
I took a quick look at Seo-yeon before leaving. Her former pale face had now some red on her cheeks and her breathing had finally slowed down to normal.
I could feel my legs get weaker as I looked at her and within a blink of an eye I had fallen on my knees and the doctor came rushing towards me. "Are you okay?" he asked as soon as he got to me. "Yeah, all good," I said, trying to get back up, but my legs gave up on me and my knees hit the ground once again.
"Hey hey calm down. You are just gonna faint at this point." "No," I groaned as I tried to get back up and the doctor rushed to support me as I did.
"Do not overwork yourself. I know that Kim is being hard on you. They all are, but we can't get anything done if your health declines," the doctor said as he still held onto me so I wouldn't fall over.
"I'm fine. Nothing's wro-" I stopped mid-sentence as I saw myself in the mirror. My black hair had turned back into the snow-white hair I actually had and my scar was showing again. I ran my fingers over the ugly scar that covered my right eye and the doctor let go of me.
"You should go and rest, she can't see you like this," he said and put his hand on my back to lead me to the door.
"I will make some excuse to Hyun-a why you aren't able to see her okay?" "No, I'll go," I said and walked out of the room before the doctor could start giving me a lecture on how I should pay more attention to my health.
"At least grab a taxi if you are going. They can have you tired but not dead!" he yelled after me as I ran down the stairs toward the front door. I'll be just fine.
