Seon
"This is it, don't get scared now." From the files that Kiki had sent me, I found out that everything about that guy was fake, expert for his name. He wasn't our age, he had finished high school a long time ago, but there was almost nothing else from him. It's like all of his past had been buried away and could never be found again. "I'll find out what you want from our school you pervert," I whispered to myself and as I was about to knock on his door, something in the pocket of my jacket started glowing.
"What?" Confused, I took it out to see what it was and it was the hair clip that I had gotten from my locker. "Huh-?" Its gems were shining, filling the whole corridor with sparkly blue light, like a sea filled with thousands of stars. "Whoa," was the only thing I could get out of my mouth as I stared at the room around me, now filled with this blue light, but then suddenly I felt a pull coming from that hair clip. "Huh? Did it just pull me?"
Confused, I held the hair clip with my two hands and it started pulling me towards Yoongi's door with such incredible force that I had to lean back so that thing wouldn't fly me straight to his door. As I tried to hold it back with great force I noticed that the frame of Yoongi's front door slowly started glowing even brighter than the glow coming from the hair clip. "Oh god."
Terrified, I tried to let go of the hair clip in my hands, but it felt like my hands had been glued to one place. I couldn't let go of it. "No, no! Help!" I screamed as the force pulling me towards the door got so strong that it started to slowly drag me towards it. "Please, anyone!" I screamed as my fingers went through his front door and then like a vacuum had sucked me up I flew through the door into a place that can't be described. It looked like emptiness filled with that blue light I had seen before, whirligig me into its depths.
As I finally hit a stable ground I began crying and shaking hysterically. I didn't dare open my eyes, because what if it was my reality now? Was I going to live in that emptiness forever? I don't know how long I had cried for but after what felt like forever I could hear birds singing and a warm breeze playing with the locks of my hair. "Catch me if you can!" I heard kids laughing from afar and slowly I opened my eyes to look around me. I wasn't spiraling in the emptiness anymore, I was sitting on the ground next to a small rice field where a small girl was chasing after a young boy, who was holding a basket filled with red apples. "You have to run faster if you want an apple!" the boy yelled at the girl and began to run even faster.
I looked at the kids' run as they slowly disappeared behind the trees and with the help of a branch, I got up to look where I was. There was a village behind the small rice field, but it wasn't like the villages I was used to seeing. It looked like the villages were from centuries ago, with traditional Korean houses. Am I in the countryside?
I could feel a nudge in my palm and as I opened it, the clip that had brought me here glowed blue once again. Scared that it will take me back to this emptiness, I jumped away from it, letting the glowing hair clip fall, but right before it was about to hit the ground it started to float. "What?" I whispered, taking a step back.
The clip slowly floated up to my eye level and as I was unable to move myself it adjusted itself to my hair sending a tingling sensation all over my body. What was that? I tried to reach for my bag, where my mirror was to look if the clip had attached itself to my hair, but as I touched my back, there was nothing. "What!" Frantically I started looking for my bag that had the files about Yoongi, but I stopped when I noticed that I wasn't wearing the clothes that I went out with.
I was now dressed up in old clothes. "HUH?" I twirled around to see if I was seeing clearly and if my clothes had really changed or if I was just seeing stuff, but my eyes were correct. Without a doubt, I was wearing Hanbok (traditional Korean dress). "How am I–" "Who are you?" I heard someone's voice from behind me and turned around to see who it was. There was a young boy, who was holding an enchanting bouquet of flowers, that he dropped as he saw my face. It looked like he recognized me, even though I had never seen him and his eyes grew wide as I picked up the bouquet that he had dropped. "I'm Seon. That's a beautiful bouquet of flowers, who is it for?" I asked, holding out the bouquet that he had dropped, but instead of taking it back, the little boy just stared at me. "Are you alright?" I asked, taking a step towards him, to which he turned around and ran away screaming: "She is alive. I must inform the king that she is alive!"
"Wait what!" I yelled after him and took a step forward to run after him but stopped as I remembered that I was still holding his bouquet of flowers. "Agh where should I put you?" I mumbled to myself, stepping back and forth to look for a good spot to place it when I suddenly noticed that there had been a carefully carved rock in front of me all this time. It looked so realistic like it really was a blooming flower. "That's a great place for you," I said as I gently put down the flowers in front of it, and ran after the little boy.
