Whisper in the Dark

The Garden

Once there was a gardener named Thomas who had a beautiful garden filled with an array of vibrant flowers. He worked tirelessly to maintain his garden and he quickly became the talk of the town. However, there was something curious about his garden that no one seemed to notice.

One summer evening Thomas was walking through his garden when he heard a faint whisper coming from the flowers. He immediately dismissed it as the wind but soon realized that the whispers were coming from the flowers themselves. As he leaned in closer to listen the whispers grew louder until they were almost deafening.

Thomas looked around in her as flowers began to sway and move around him. Suddenly he felt their stems wrap around too tightly trapping him in place. The flowers started to close in around him suffocating him as he was gasping for air. Despite trying to fight them off the flowers continued to tighten their grip into Thomas was unable to breathe. His body was consumed by the garden, and he was never seen or heard from again.

From that day on the residents of the town avoided Thomas's garden. It remained untouched and overgrown in a place of fear and horror to all those who knew who was dark and eerily secret.
