"Raghavendra" I almost scream. But before I have a chance to complete he seals my mouth with his hand.

"Shhhh. No one should hear us." He warns.

My eyes are blinking rapidly as I try to make sense of what is happening. My hands are still coated with dry mehendi and and hence I try to keep them away from touching him or his fancy clothes, he's making it a bit difficult though by creeping up on me like this.

It's the second day in a row he's come to my quarters at the late hours of the night. The whole day today I didn't get to see much of him since he was out with Devrat on a hunting trip and now suddenly he's appearing without any warning. Something is different about him from yesterday though, the fact that whatever seemed off about him yesterday night is not there today. He's probably not drunk today.

"What the hell are you doing here!" I whisper yell at my husband to be who just smirks in response. He tries to take my hand but I force it away from his grip.
"I have mehendi on." I show him my palm as if for confirmation and he shakes his head not letting go off his smile. He takes my hand despite my warning and leads me towards my bed. I am pretty sure the dried henna on my palm is tickling his but he doesn't seem to show any discomfort.

"Atleast will you care to explain what are you doing here?" I ask again.

He settles on my bed but not before asking for my permission. What a weirdo, he wouldn't ask for my permission to enter my quaters but he'll ask to sit on the bed? This man has something wrong with him.

"I wanted to see you." He replies staring at the floor. My heart thuds at the direct words. "And I also wanted to apologise about yesterday night, Princess."

"Apologise?" I cross my arms against my chest, he follows the motion before meeting my eyes.

"Yeah....I umm...I don't know if you could tell but I was slightly inebreited last night. I shouldn't have come to see you in that state but well I had been wanting to talk to you since I saw your little dance performance and you disappeared from the party and after a couple of drinks I had some newfound courage to come see you directly in your quarters. Like I said though, I had no business being disrespectful to you that way and coming to see you when I was drunk was a stupid move. I am just gald I didn't do anything stupid."

Thanks for confirming my suspicions, yuvraj. "I haven't been around enough drunk people to have guessed you were drunk...but I did have my suspicions. I don't appreciate it though and I don't appreciate you coming to my quarters whenever you please either. I accept your apology, so you should probably go now."

He rises up from the bed, easily towering over me. I take a few steps back.

That makes his smirk morph into a frown. "Wait....you don't like me being close to you?" He asks it with so much sadness, I feel terrible.

I shake my head. "It's not you...I just get nervous when you're close." Honest much, vaidehi? He didn't have to know that.

And the confident smirk is back.
"Ohhhh, so I make you nervous." His tone is teasing and playful. I hate it.
"Not surprising though, my good looks tend to have that kind of affect on girls."

"Don't flatter yourself." I roll my eyes, "I get nervous because I am not used to talking to people who are this ugly."

He throws his head back and laughs. "Feisty..." he comments, as he steps into my space. This time I don't give in to the urge to step back and stand my ground.
"I also had one more thing to do. I believe we haven't had a chance to meet properly...." Before I can ask him what he means, he takes my hand and kisses the back of it. His eyes remain fixed on my face.
