The weekend passed so fast and Minho sighed, bending down over the counter, surrounded by flowers.
He loved his workplace, he was just a bit tired. He cut the stem of the flower, and then bundled it together with the other flowers.
"Hi! I'm here for the part time job."
Minho heard the voice from a guy right after the bell of the door to the shop rang. It was shortly before 8, exactly the time Minho had told him to come in.
First plus point for him, Minho couldn't stand when people were late.
"I'm over here!" He almost screamed as he was hidden by plants, and soon the boy made it over to him.
"Hi! So you're Jeongin?"
"Exactly, that's me."
"Give me one second and i'll show you around. Do you like coffee?" Minho brushed the dirt off of his hands on his apron and then took it off, guiding the other further back into the shop.
He noticed the younger had a pretty good fashion sense, wearing wide legged jeans and a dark grey shirt with silver accessories that perfectly completed the look.
He wondered if they'd become friends.
"Yes I do!"
"I don't really have a big variety, i mainly drink the same few things." Shrugging he pointed to the stash next to the coffee machine in the corner of a small kitchen with one bigger table.
"Oh I love iced americano!!" Jeongin gasped.
A small smile spread on his lips.
They would definitely become friends.
"I'll make you one."
"Oh no no you don't have to it's totally fine." Jeongin waved off with a slight blush on his face.
"C'mon, you can bring your own stuff tomorrow and i'll steal from you when I run out of mine. It's giving and taking." Minho said, taking ice out of the freezer and then getting one of his cups from the cupboard.
He grabbed a mug for himself aswell, more in the mood for a hot coffee today again, as it was still rather cold and raining outside.
"I'm guessing you like cats?" The other asked.
Minho gasped out. "How did you figure that out?!" Before breaking into giggles, handing Jeongin his coffee, paw print on the cup, and then placing his own mug, which had a cat on it, under the machine.
The other joined him, laughing as he took a sip.
"Sooo, you're only here part time right?"
"Yes, most of the times in the morning because I have lectures in the afternoon."
"Oh, what do you study if I can ask?" Minho started drinking from his coffee, guiding Jeongin to a small opening where a few jackets were hanging.
"Literature, just started." Jeongin left his stuff there and then walked to the front with Minho.
-
"Minho, there is someone who is asking for you!"
As the morning had been rather slow and no one really came into the shop, Minho had told Jeongin he would go bundle some flowers and he should keep an eye on the door.
He didn't want to overwhelm the younger, so he had decided to push the flower bundling and general plant care for another day. They just had been casually chatting in a louder volume to understand each other.
Who would ask for him?
Again he cleaned his hands off, took off the apron he had on and went to the front.
"Hi Min."
He was greeted by no other than Han Jisung himself, hair dripping from the rain.
His puffer jacket was shiny now, and the jeans were darker than Minho remembered them being."Hannie?" His eyes widened with curiousity, Jisung had a plastic bag in his hand.
Jisungs lips curled up, and he stretched his arm out to Minho.
He took the bag, opened it to see a take away box. "What is that?"
"Kimchi fried rice, from your favourite restaurant. It's still hot." The smile got even bigger as Minho jumped to hug him.
While Jisung had his arms wrapped around Minho he finally noticed the boy standing there a bit awkwardly, but lightly grinning at the scene playing in front of him.
"Oh i'm sorry, i'm Jisung, Minhos best friend."
"Jeongin, nice to meet you." Jeongin bowed slightly.
"Isn't he cute?" Minho giggled, loosening his grip on the other.
Jisung just nodded, heart shaped lips never letting the smile fade.
"I thought i'd stop by quickly during my break. I'll pick you up this afternoon for dance, okay?"
Minho nodded, thanking Jisung again before he stepped out, waving goodbye as he saw him sprint off in the rain.
"Did he just come here to bring you food?" Jeongin curiously asked.
Slowly they made it to the back, Jeongin taking out a sandwich he had packed for himself.
They sat down at the table in the small kitchen.
"Apparently. I texted him this morning complaining that I have to go buy lunch. Didn't expect him to do it for me."
"Is he really just your best friend?" The younger raised his eyebrow.
Minho sighed. "Yes, sadly he is awfully straight." The chair creaked under him as he pushed it back.
Jeongin laughed. "Oh man. But the food he brought you looks amazing."
This made Minho immediately get another spoon from the cupboard behind them and stick it out to Jeongin. "Try it."
Hesitantly Jeongin took it, chewing the rice. "This really is amazing!"
"Right?? That is why it's my favourite restaurant, it's so good."
"By the way, you both dance?" Jeongin asked with his mouth still full.
"Nope, just me. But Jisungs friend from uni is in the same class as me so sometimes he drives us both and watches. They are roommates, it's convenient."
Jeongin nodded, taking another spoon of rice out of Minhos dish. "Makes sense."
"What about you, any plans for the night?"
"Probably going to study a bit, I have to read another classic and analyse it and if I don't start soon i'll fall behind."
"I bet Jisungs friend would love you, he is obsessed with reading classics and poetry and all of that."
