❝𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐄.❞

He shot back, his body almost falling down to the couch's smooth surface, but he balanced his feet to steady. He looked shocked that she could utter such nonsense and that made her roll her eyes.

"Revenge?!" he muttered, "Why ever on earth would you think that?" he laughed.

"Because of what happened." she answered truthfully and she felt the mood swift in a snap of a finger.

Jae-Sung focused his irises somewhere else and clenched his jaw before he pinched his nose.

"You are right," he started and she felt her heart drop, "about one thing."

"I did have plans for your massive destruction, but when Iseul found me in Milano-" he paused, voice tightly holding in the emotions. He took a breath and continued "she explained to me what I should have let you do one and a half year ago."

Shaking her head, she took his hand and went to sit down beside him in the black couch a few meters away from them.

"Park Yeon-Jin is one twisted female," he swallowed after he responded to her, feeling the warmth of her hands gradually melt the coldness of his skin. Not wanting to fall under her honey trap he took his hand off her grasp and stood up once again.

"But I should have known you were not involved in those immature acts of violence."

What?

"I want to come home," his voice unwavering and strong as always, it made her wince and try to destroy the mist clasping her mind with memories long locked inside her mind.

"Dal-Rae I was an excuse of a husband and I broke our vows with my actions," he kneeled down in front of her in the most dominant motion he could master and he continued "but if I need to beg for your forgiveness- beg the all the mighty deities in this universe for your forgiveness, I will."

He could be possibly lying through his teeth, but in that moment; in that emotion striping moment she couldn't stay cold and cruel.

She would be happy and Ji-Su would feel normal again. She took a breath in and felt her blood pressure skyrocket as her eyes closed tightly to prevent this madness of unleashing.

"I know you Jae-Sung, you never let your opponents escape-" she opened her irises and her long eyelashes fluttered open "I know I did you wrong, but if we deferment our divorce I need you to promise me something..."

Swallowing, he nodded his head and wetted his dry lips.

"I need you to promise to forget your revenge to me."

Because the moment you lied to me about two things, you automatically became my most unwavering enemy.

The swift motion and the swoosh the golden lighter left behind as it opened created a peaceful aura drown Jae-Sung in his dark hotel room.

The smell of burnt paper made him grit his teeth in an almost shattering movement.

One, you covered the truth of So-Hee's death-

A photo of a decapitated body of a seventeen years old girl blackened as the fore enclosed it.

And two, your affair with Myeong-o Son made me realize how easily you can spread your lies in order to win what you want.

Not even daring to glance at the second photo of his wife with Jae-jun's little follower in the back of her car arose a spider web of goosebump upon his skin.

So, my sweet Dal-Rae. You know what I hate more than cheaters? Liars.

𝐃𝐀𝐋-𝐑𝐀𝐄'𝐒 𝐏𝐎𝐕

𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 𝐈 𝐒𝐀𝐈𝐃 "𝐈 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐘𝐎𝐔" 𝐉𝐀𝐄-𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐆 I meant every syllabes I uttered from my mouth that day.

You are the King in the chess and sometimes, the King has to step down for the Queen to rise.

I want to trust you, I desperately need to, but you are making it so hard for me with your paranoia of revenge.

Revenge on what? Revenge on who? Me? Maybe. Whoever you see as your enemy, in reality it's not me. But yourself.

❝𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐄 𝐌𝐄 𝐉𝐀𝐄-𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐆.❞

With her voice bare from all emotions, her eyes were the gateways to her soul. A rich abyss of eternal beauty. A beauty filled with storms and hurricanes, something he was extremely familiar with.

"I promise." he sild it with a bow of his head and the exiting form of his lean body next.

Humming, she slid back into a comfortable position in the black couch and waited for the cling of the door before she focused her narrowed dark irises on the double doors in front of her.

Game on Jae.

𝐒𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞 :

I know it's half the usual chapters in the count of words, but it's Easter for me here so I was busy the whole day.

This chapter does not meet my expectations, but I really wanted to update.

Happy Easter to all!
