𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐃𝐈𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐓 to not let his emotions unleash. He was tired of always being disciplined and thoughtful of his next words.

From a very early age, his mother taught them all about how actions have heavy consequences. And he feared the consequences of his motives would be greatly severe now.

Stepping foot on his home. On his shared home - in which he hadn't seen for a year and a half now, because of the fallout of his relationship with his wife - he felt ready to burst.

"Dada! Dada!" he felt a tugging on his hand and gazed down to look at his son.
Smiling, he grabbed him by his waist and hoisted him up with his muscular arms.

"Let's go to my room! I 'ave so many toys I want to show you!" he rambled. His words mumbling over a bit, creating a slight confusion itch Jae-Sung.

"Mama! I'm hungry." he turned his head to headlock his father with his arms as he whined lightly.

"Ji-Su." she chastised. "How do we ask?"

His son bit his chubby lip, a clear sign he was his mother's son as Dal-Rae used to make the exact same thing and mumbled "Can I have something to eat please?"

Dal-Rae smiled softly and dropped her bag in the awaiting hands of their maid.

"Please, make something for us to eat." she added and the maid immediately bowed down and left to prepare dinner for them.

Looking back at them, an awkward silence spread out in the room. Until it was broken.

"Ji-Su, why don't you go wash your hands? I'll ready the bath for you."

Dal-Rae ruffled his dark hair when he toppled off his hands and run to the bathroom. His little form disappearing behind the wall of the hallway.

"Sir?"

He snapped his gaze at their helper's eyes, she was waiting to take his coat and bag. Without further ado, he took his coat off his body and let the suit cling to him, offering warmth and closure.

"Thanks." He said and went to sit on the living room, however his pace stopped once he saw the silver tray with a crystal Liqueur bottle served upon the surface of their wooden bar in the side of the room.

"You still buy it?" He asked surprised.

Dal-Rae stiffened lightly and swallowed, an awkward smile rested on her lips and she absentmindedly - without any notice - scratched her forearm.

"Mm." She nodded and took steps in front to go and sit on the leather couch. "Old habits die hard."

Old habits die hard

She repeated it this again. One at the football game and one now. Was she hinting on something?

"Yeah." He murmured softly.

More silence. That was not good.

She sat up and went to pass by him "I have to go and bath Ji-Su before dinner."

His hand shot up and grabbed her wrist. She stopped walking. He stopped breathing. He blinked and let her go.

"Dal-Rae..." He uttered, his words were lost as he looked up at her. "Will it ever go back to as it was?" He genuinely asked.

"I don't know, Jae." Her eyes were sad and he never knew that Dal-Rae could ever be sad. Before everything fell apart, she was only a ball of sunshine. Shining brighter than the sun. Now, she looked like the moon. Alone, with the stars to shine brightly beside her, and she was silver sad. Cold and angry. All alone.

He liked that. He was hurt and he liked seeing the one that caused him such pain hurt too. It meant he didn't have to hurt alone anymore.

She tried to smile again, but it did not reach her eyes. And she went to bath Ji-Su. The laughter of his son brought a serene feeling on his bane.

They did not act like everything was okay. Because they knew nothing was truly fine, but for their son, and the love they harness inside theirs souls for one another, they would try to mend this.

One of them hoped this try will not be wasted for nothing in the end.

❝𝐖𝐇𝐘 𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓 𝐀𝐓 𝐀 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐄 𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒? I told you to come to Siesta. I'm not a damn dog to run after you.❞

The cold air of the night nipped at her cheeks as she turned around to greet Myeong-o.

"Yes, you are." Her eyes pierced his soul and her unfaltering stance had him smirking profoundly.

"Look at little Moon Dong-Eun, playing the hero. So funny." He chuckled.

"I'll be a hero just fine when I tell the police and Mr. Ha that you sexually assault his wife." She took a step further in and Myeong-o's frozen face was sweet revenge already.

"I'll be a hero when I tell him that you are the reason, sweet, kind Dal-Rae had to break his heart and divorce her Prince charming."

He was frozen in shock and she smiled pleasantly. He will get what he deserves from her and Dal-Rae.

"How- You sick bitch!" He stuttered and his face was so pale.

"You are too stupid to be in control of people Myeong-o Son. That's why you are not the one with the wealth."

And like that, she left him in shock and confusion and oh so much anger. He was afraid.

As he should be.
