Sasuke's Feelings/Sakura and Karin's Confrontation

"W-what are you doing here? You couldn't have defeated Uchiha Itachi that quickly," Sakura said, trying to pry his arms from around her waist.

"Oh, you told me that I am the only person that could defeat Sasuke then he flew away in a cluster of birds," Naruto replied, smiling cheekily.

Sakura sweatdropped. 'Didn't Itachi believe in me too?'

Before Madara shot a full scaled war on them, Naruto, Sakura, Sai, and Kakashi had encountered Uchiha Itachi somewhere on the border of Amegakure. But instead of fighting, Itachi would asked about their results of catching his little brother, Uchiha Sasuke. As always (excluding Sai) they would tell him that he had slipped through their fingers, and once again got away. It was strange to Sakura that they would actually 'talk' to a member of the Akatsuki instead of attacking him. At that rate, you could say that they were working with him. It was beginning to look like it, so why not make it official?

But why was Naruto fighting Itachi then, you ask? Well, that's a very good question. See, in order for Itachi's subordinates, and just for his sake, he had no choice of fighting him. Members of the organization were possibly watching somewhere near the battle listening in on the confrontation between Naruto and him. That's why he didn't say anything too personal. Not anything that they would usually say or talk about. So the whole words between them on the field were nothing but a show. A mere show to trick the spectators.

Smart wasn't it?

"Geez Naruto, it would help if you'd stop talking so loud. It's no wonder Sasuke was always annoyed when you opened your mouth."

Naruto looked over Sakura's shoulder and instantly his eyes narrowed. "Sasuke."

Said person smirked slightly with closed eyes. "Naruto."

Naruto moved around Sakura, and slid his arm around her waist pulling her close to him. Sasuke took noticed, and his smirk grew.

"Took you two long enough. I was beginning to wonder if you were gay."

Naruto's eye twitched in annoyance. Sakura giggled lightly, shaking her head.

"What was that teme!?"

Suigetsu watched the scene before him with curious eyes. He would've never thought that his little princess was with her blonde headed friend. He would've been the last person Suigetsu would've thought of her to be with. He smirked. He wondered just how irritated Sasuke was. Speaking of him, Suigetsu shifted his eyes to the raven haired Uchiha heir to see a slight pang of- What's that? Anger?

I bet you're wondering how Suigetsu knew that, eh? Well simple really. Sasuke's eyebrows were knitted together slightly, and his lip was curled up invisibly by just a hair. You would probably have to squint to get a good look, but Suigetsu didn't have to. He knew the raven well enough to tell some of emotions. To him, Sasuke was like an open water. He could see everything, and more. There was no end to it.

But the question is - why?

Why was Sasuke angered? Who was it that he angered so much? Why?

Although Suigetsu didn't have an answer, he could sure make one up on his own. It could be because of the two Konoha shinobi's in front of him. Or rather the blonde to be more scientific. If Suigetsu saw right, he would have to hypothesize that Sasuke was angered because Naruto was with 'his' Sakura instead.

What!?

Yep, HIS Sakura. He didn't know why, but after all those years of not seeing her it made him anxious to see her again. But now that he's met her after all those years, she was beautiful. Everything about her interested him. But the whole point of seeking her out was because of the sword that she still held in her hand. He wasn't intending on wanting her to himself or anything, but there were a lot of things that he didn't plan on doing in the past so why should this even matter? And why couldn't he just take the sword by force, and leave to head on to Konoha? Why was he still lingering there?
